One of two Old Pulteney's bottled by Gordon & Macphail for Sestante import in Parma. @mainardiernesto
.
This one is the 18y old version, distilled 1970 and bottled in 1988 at cask strength 56%.
.
The other one is a 20y old one distilled in 1968 and bottled 20 years later in 1988 at 43%.
.
This is truly a rare piece of Highland single malt whisky from @oldpulteneymalt so glad I could get my hands on this!

How brilliant...best sherry nose ever...Wood, fruit, peat, he has it all, but so noble, so balanced!

•Laphroaig 10 years old (91,4 US proof, 4/5 quart, Carlton company US import), an official bottling of Laphroaig (if i remember correctly this was rotation 1967 or 68? @geertbero ) distilled in the 50's!!
~
•This is by far one of the best Laphroaig's i ever tasted, both nose (few points more for that nose) and palate are flabbergastingly good!! 94 points!!

The Bulloch Lade Old Rarity with predominantly old Caol ila (much before the 70s). Picked a 93 from Whiskyfun.

Ainslie’s is a mix of 50s Brora & Clynelish. Ainslie & Heilbron were the owners of those distilleries back then. Apparently picked a 65 from Whiskyfun. Supposedly has Brora and Clynelish from decades before.

Grants standfast is Casa Gancia Italian import in Canelli from the 1960s-1970s.

White & Mackay 21 from 1960s Italian import.

Tasted at @themaltaffair 2026, Singapore.

Masterclass at @themaltaffair from @oldiesgoldieswhisky by @geertbero the legend. Wonderful line up. It was the first time to try the Ardbeg OB single cask. (Cask#2) Good, clean modern Ardbeg. Pristine. The Arran was fruity as expected. Most folks liked the Fino sherry bottled by Malts of Scotland.

Watches, whisky and good company at The Malt Affair Vol X

Took my Kuoe Old Smith 90-002 out, caught some seriously nice Seikos, Tissots and Casios, and got to explore a few whiskies along the way.

Still a whisky rookie, but always happy to learn, taste and discover. Met some great people sharing the same passion for watches and whisky.

Definitely a day well spent ⏱️🥃✨

Came for the Moncreiffe, stayed for the people. 🥃
An unforgettable tasting with Geert Berto — because whisky isn’t just about what’s in the glass, but who you share it with.
