A sneak peek from Real Ideas Creative Resident @katehumpho for Creative Intersections Day 2026... 🟩

Over the past nine months, Kate Humphries has been part of the Real Ideas Creative Residency, exploring new ways of expanding her digital practice through experimentation, collaboration and access to new tools, spaces and technologies.

Kate has been at @themarkethalluk testing work for Creative Intersections Day 2026, giving us a glimpse into the immersive experience she’ll be sharing on 7th November.

Inspired by the landscapes of Dartmoor, Kate creates mesmerising motion artworks that transform natural forms into meditative, looping animations. As part of her residency, she has also been exploring how a time-based digital practice can translate into physical print, developing a series of screen prints at @thedevonportguildhall

At Creative Intersections Day, Kate will present Still, Everything Moves, a stunning 360° immersive film in the Dome, alongside the prints developed throughout her residency journey.

This is just a small preview of what you’ll experience on the day, and we can’t wait to showcase the incredible work that Kate and our other Creative Residents have been developing.

Ever wondered how Creative Intersections Day came to life? 💭

Join Maddie as she takes us behind the scenes of Creative Intersections Day 2026, sharing how the idea was born and how the team at @realideasorganisation has brought it to life.

Created to celebrate the exciting space where analogue and digital creativity meet, Creative Intersections Day brings together artists, makers, designers and creative technologists for a day of talks, exhibitions, demonstrations, immersive experiences and creative exchange.

What started as a conversation about breaking down boundaries between disciplines has grown into a vibrant programme packed with inspiring people, bold ideas and opportunities to connect.

We’re incredibly proud of what the team has created, and we can’t wait to welcome you to @themarkethalluk to experience it with us.

Behind the scenes with @neasdencontrolcentre in the Immersive Dome at @themarkethalluk 🔳

We’re excited to welcome Stephen Smith (Neasden Control Centre) to Creative Intersections Day 2026, and this week he’s been testing content in the Immersive Dome at Market Hall, experimenting with layers, scale and moving image ahead of his talk.

Known for his distinctive mix of drawing, painting, collage and animation, Stephen’s work explores an ongoing process of construction, deconstruction and abstraction, creating rich visual worlds that blur the boundaries between disciplines.

Join Stephen in the Immersive Dome at 4:30pm on 7th November for an insight into his creative process, alongside a chance to explore his sketchbooks and works-in-progress on display throughout the day in the Main Hall.

We’re counting down the days.
