To Do In LA ✨ Happy Weekend From Los Angeles
To The World ! Enjoy this art segment from ✨@lainaminute

“The Great Wall of Los Angeles “, is possibly the longest mural in the world! It was also a public project spearheaded by a UCLA professor that has left Los Angeles, uplifted and inspired with this work of art that is more than a half mile long! Let’s get into it!” Quotes #LAinAMinute #LosAngeles #GreatWallOfLosAngeles #judithbaca UCLA Valleyglen SanFernandoValley LosAngelesRiver

VeryWellRead.net for more info! Really amazing free exhibition — we spent at least an hour in there and could easily have stayed longer. Every time we looked again there was some cool af piece we’d previously missed.

I'm showing textured geometric paintings in two group exhibitions this summer. The exhibition in Los Angeles @themcla, themed around book covers, runs through September 6th. The other exhibition, at Andy Tarshis Gallery @eastendartscouncil in Riverhead, NY, explores the symbiotic relationship between art and music and is on view through August 22.
Big thanks to Mat Gleason and Kevin Teare!

Had a lovely afternoon at the Well Read exhibition showing over 400 works inspired by the books artists read. I read from Ancient Evenings by Normal Mailer. Many more readings and events to come on Sundays through the summer. #wellread #inspiration #artsavestheworld #amykaps

“We’re Very Well-Read Well Known” an exhibition of over 400 artworks, curated by Mat Gleason @matgleason , at the MCLA - Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles @themcla at 260 Main Street, LA, which artists create and reimagine their favorite books covers. A great exhibition that you can spend a lot of time looking at fantastic works. Here are some selections. Go see. The show is open on the weekends with readings on Sunday. I will be tagging the artists throughout the week.

Mat Gleason has put together an amazing must see exhibition for readers and non-readers alike. If you are an LA artist or art lover then you'll know many of the artists in the show, like Joy Ray, Jon Huck and a literal cast of hundreds...
