Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit — Live at Radio City Music Hall · 2.21.26

This is the whole night, near as it happened on the floor. Three cameras, nine angles, a couple locked off and left to hold their nerve while everything else moved. Cut live in the moment. I went back after and touched only what asked to be touched. Nothing in the frame that wasn't already in the room. What we did was left on the field.

We hit psychedelic liftoff a couple times ,the whole hall weightless for a stretch before it set back down.

Today’s the final day of our 2026 UK and European run. I’ve heard it said more than once—it ain’t the places that make the journey, it’s the people beside you. After all these years, I know that’s the truth.
This crew right here—some of the most driven, talented, and genuine folks I’ve ever had the honor to roll with. Every stop brings its own kind of chaos, its own set of problems to solve. Long days, late nights, and plenty of moments where things could’ve gone sideways. But we don’t break—we lock in and get it done.
To everyone in this picture, and all the ones I’ve shared miles and memories with over the past 15 years—I carry a deep respect and real love for you.

🚨1958 Tweed Twin repair for @jasonisbell

Sight unseen repairs are always hard, you strive to be the hero, today was a success! Got the old riper back in line for the gig.

The amp was dropping filament power, no heaters equals no tubes. This was caused by dry rotted original joints on the power tube sockets. Many other joints in the amp also needed a reflow. After the amp was working and stable, I got in cleaned up, then dialed it in with some non microphonic old glass.

Thanks for Jason’s team for being rad and @themichaelluke for the opportunity.

I went to see Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit at the Ryman last week and I’m telling you… it never gets old! Every time I get the joy of listening to them live or in studio, they somehow level up and top what they have done before. Blows me away, truly. I love every single of them to my core and I am a true believer in the music that Jason writes.

While I was sitting in a pew in the balcony of the Ryman, I realized …. a year ago Jason and I were recording the album ‘Foxes In The Snow’ at @electricladystudios in NYC. I am so proud of this music and what’s been the most special is the amount of people it has touched and hearing from friends and family and strangers how they’ve connected with certain songs. Everyone has a different favorite and hearing the stories that have snowballed from Jason’s lyrics on this album have all brought an even deeper well of emotions and meaning to what we created together.

Beyond honored to be on this ride with you, Jason. We both poured our whole selves into it and were so present and real while creating it. No other way to be. Thank you for having me and inviting me to be a part of this dream.

Thank you @americanafest for the nomination of Best Americana Album, everyone who voted and most importantly, everyone who listened and found a little bit of themselves in this music. I am deeply grateful for all of it.
