TWO WEEKS

Join us at Vinyl Tap on ELECTION DAY, August 6, to watch the gubernatorial primary results on TV, jam out to The Minks and Santa’s Ice Cold Pickers, and celebrate this experience with me. Win or lose, we win, and we have a grand ole time.

Mark your calendars and come on down. It’s free. It’s not a fundraiser. It’s a fun raiser baby.

Introducing American Music Festival LATE NIGHT! July 2-5th

As the seasoned festival attendees will tell you, some of the truly exciting moments happen late in the evening. Artists with BIG ENERGY playing later in the club or sidebar AFTER the headliner. (raise your hand if you were there for LES GREENE & THE SWAYZEES at 10pm on Sunday last year!? HELLO!!??) There are 2 bands playing each night of the fest, at 10pm, after the headliner. They’re all great.

FITZGERALDS American Music Festival “Late Night Entry”is a reduced fee for late arrival, after the Headliner, to catch the late shows. Tickets available at fitzgeraldsnightclub.com

Hey, maybe @instagram will give us the ability to have independent aspect ratios per slide so I can just ignore the update and keep posting my photos the same way I do now
1) Mosquito season
2) Our boy ❤️
3) Dylan Rae is in a continuous state of being photographable
4) A trip to the local Parthenon
5) “What did you dream? It’s alright, we told you what to dream”
6) An independent, self-walking dog. Genius.
7) I need to make a post of just photos I’ve taken of Cam
8) Chug it
9) The person without the person
10) A regular
11) Rocky Tonk Thursday Mark
12) Random Friday night Mark
13) I brought the Sony when I should have brought the Nikon (an auto biography about photographing festivals)
14) Fresh off the plane
15)Another National Geographic level photograph
16) I snapped this photo while we were out at dinner. I zapped it over to my phone, dolled it up as I do for the ‘gram, then showed it to Avery. It took him a few moments of contemplation, then he smiled and exclaimed “shoes!!”
17) This shot is irrelevant at this point. Time moves on. It will be relevant again when I’m dead. That’s how art works. That’s why I do it.
18) Wires
19) I was standing there trying to figure out what to photograph. I noticed a bunch of legs. It is leg season, you know. Mosquitoes love leg season.

as a nashville native who grew up a mile down the road, musician’s corner is truly one of the most special events here in music city. it’s been such a joy to photograph this festival and work with the incredible team behind it for the last several years.

today is the final day of the spring series before it picks back up in the fall. concert tickets are expensive these days, but enjoying live music from some of your favorite artists under the sun at musician’s corner is free. 🎟️

here are a few favorite moments from over the years——
