Not the usual thing I post here but I like this so much I wanted to share it with the world 🌼🦋

I made this in my sketchbook because I wanted to practice painting people with acrylic gouache. I’ve always wanted to do it but felt intimidated by the idea of rendering skin. But I really enjoyed myself here and I’m super glad I did it!

Who doesn’t love a good virgin romance author & spicy lessons trope? 🤭 Even better with it’s fat, queer, and disabled 😆

You can read For the Plot NOW on KU, signed & personalized from my website, and most places where books are sold!

What tropes and rep can you expect in For the Plot?

🩷 Sex Lessons
💜 Golden Retriever Simpy boi hero
🩵 Orange Cat Awkward Lover girl heroine
🩷 Virgin Romance Author FMC
💜 Man Whore Bartender MC
🩵 Two Demibisexual MCs
🩷 He has Chronic Gastritis
💜 She has ADHD/Depression
🩵 Plus Size Rep

Nikki Stone has writer’s block. As a romance author, this isn’t the first time, but after her book gets shredded for sex scenes written like “someone who’s never had sex before” she’s stuck. The problem? She’s a demisexual woman who has never had sex. The solution? Listen to the advice that she just needs to get laid. But after trying and failing on her own, Nikki turns to the one person she trusts can help her get some hands-on research: her friend and roommate James.

James Warren is perfectly happy with his life. He enjoys being an assistant manager/bartender at The Sleepy Siren, having casual hookups with people he isn’t attracted to as a demisexual man, and living with his three closest friends. He definitely doesn’t have any desire for something more. And he’s definitely not in love with NIkki Stone. Even if he can’t stop thinking about her–their shared caffeine addiction, her magpie tendencies, and definitely not her massive brain.

But when Nikki realizes he might have the perfect expertise to be her sexy mentor and asks him for help–telling him she’ll ask someone else if he says no–what can he do but say yes? With time ticking towards her deadline–and her publisher’s last extension coming to an end–it’s now or never. As the two of them explore each other’s bodies during their spicy lessons, while trying to keep their hearts out of it, they’ll realize that maybe there was more to their friendship all along.

You can read For the Plot NOW on KU, signed & personalized from my website, and most places where books are sold! A dual colored graphic, the left side is pink with purple text, the right side is pink with pink text. Art of a fat, white couple sitting on chairs on stools and clinking martini glasses. The plus size woman on the left, with long wavy black hair, blue eyes, wearing a black dress with lemons. She is holding a laptop with a rainbow sticker, a bi flag sticker, and a Demi flag sticker. Her nails are painted pink. The mid sized man on the right, with curly short brown hair, blue eyes, glasses, a hoop nose ring, and blue painted nails. The text reads, on the left “The virgin romance author who gets called out for unrealistic spice & convinces her manwhore friend/roommate to teach her because they’re both Demi so no one will catch feelings...” And on the right “...the manwhore friend/roommate who says yes so she won’t sleep with someone else, because he’s already just a little bit in love with her.”
