Hello! 🌷💫
I’ve been meaning to reintroduce myself to the folk who are new to my page and art 💕🎀
My name is Gabby and I’ve been a freelance illustrator for 6 years (!!!). I love using my art to make cute & interesting things, to bring joy & inspire, and to create representation for folks who normally don’t get to see themselves as main character in mainstream stories.
I love drawing Halloween stuff, raccoons, cats, characters kissing, and lately…FISH!!!!
This year I’m finally fulfilling my dream of illustrating book covers. I love working with authors. They are the best creatives!! And being an author myself I understand what they have to go through behind the scenes and I sympathize with how hard they have to work.
I wrote and published a Sapphic epic fantasy duology that wrapped up last year, and I have another book coming out in 2027, SONG OF FALLEN STARS, a romantic fantasy retelling of an indigenous pre-Columbian legend from the Andes.
My dream is for my art to leave an impact in this world, and for it to be a celebration of queer and BIPOC folk 💫💕✨

I hope you can continue to support my shenanigans. Thank you for being here!!! :) by @themoonborn

I redesigned Comet a little bit 💕 gave him a quirkier color scheme, and a bossy personality. He wants to give you his love and you will take it dang it, no questions asked 😜
If we want to turn him into a plushie, we’ll probably have to do a preorder. I would love for him to be a squishier kind of plushie, like something you could squeeze in your arms 💕💫 taken in Houston, Texas by @themoonborn

I realized a little too late while I was toning my canvas that I had forgotten to frame it with masking tape, so yeah the sides of my watercolor block got stained. I thought the paint was gonna leak to the bottom pages, but actually it didn’t happen! You live and you learn 🤭

You can get a print of this artwork, a matching sticker, and a micro short story through my snail mail club by signing up todayyyy before the month ends! Go go go 🤭🎃💕

I’m planning to mail the letters next week, so they arrive before Halloween.

Funky Halloween in a village downtown! 🎃👻

This was so fun to paint! Lately I’m OBSESSED with chartreuse. To be perfectly honest, I planned this painting around this color 💚

A print of this painting, along with a matching sticker and short story will be sent out as part of September’s snail mail. Sign up before the month ends if you want to receive it 💚

Painted with acrylic gouache on a 140 lb cold-pressed watercolor block
