I’ve actually had a bloody dreadful week. I’m not sure what this eclipse is trying to teach me and I hesitate to ask TBH. I’m still going to try and swing into this weekend with ♥️ and gratefulness. One more week to the Japan tour. @raulsanchezijorge made this bad ass piece of music which I immediately requested to swindle. I did the lazy Polaroid selfie.

I’ve been experimenting again. I have to because I have to be my own model, I don’t have fancy gear and I don’t have means right now. Is it the limitations that make good work? I hope so because that’s what I have. Gee it’s hard work when you only have a mechanics light, a hallway and seriously out of date DSLR. I would preferred to have used our SX-70 land camera but you they do not attach to tripods! Like you can mod them but I don’t have time for that. They also do not have a self timer or a selfie button, you have to get aftermarket ones from Brooklyn and I never plan that far ahead. The long exposure didn’t work either this time and I couldn’t not get the light right. All of it is hard but we persist because we have to make this art thing when it keeps us up at night🖤 This will be a new thing on my website this week. I’ll let you know

They say anything worth doing is never easy and it hasn’t been. Even though I’ve worked in the fashion industry, turns out I still had some learning curves around printing on silk and being a little impatient. I’m SO grateful for my beautiful friends who supported me and waited for it to turn around and maybe just kinda - glad that delay happened because now I have received the most beautiful samples printed in Como Italy by an independent female led business. The best part is that I hope to receive the bulk in around 3 weeks and I start sewing and shipping after that ♥️ @themoonofdesire #independentdesigner #dracula #filmnoirstyle
