Last night, Wild Bloom Society and @artprevailsproject brought our communities together in the garden 🪴 @emilysgardenus

A little cross-pollination across Broward and South Florida.

The goal has never been to build one room, but to strengthen the ecosystem by creating more opportunities for poets to move between spaces, meet one another, and share their work.

More poetry. More collaboration. More community gatherings where our humanity is celebrated.

Our September featured poet, Denzel McCausland @denzelmccausland set the tone for a night of honesty, vulnerability, and connection.

Izzi @izzimakesmusic opened and closed the evening in brass, and we ended with a group poem born from MOONSTRUCK: Monthly Moody Musings.

Thank you to everyone who joined us from near and far, and to those who sent their love.

Next Thursday, I step into their room as the featured poet at the Arts Prevails Project open mic.

Wild Bloom Poetry 8.19.26 🌧️

Izzi returned after months away, her brassy sounds waking up the energy.

Featured Poet Kellasandra Ferrara eased us into poetry beautifully.

And then, there was rain.

We made room under shelters. Squeezed indoors. People stepped up to help one another.

Water everywhere last night. Rain, sweat, tears, poetry.

And we surfed the waves 🌊

Wild Bloom Poetry 7.15.26 🌼

A balmy summer evening of poetry, jazz, meaningful conversation, and moments worth celebrating.

Featured poet Sten Garcia delivered a powerful performance.

We also celebrated two milestones within our community.

Congratulations to our Dominican sister, Em Simms, on the release of her second book, “Where the Petals Land, Plátanos Grow.”

Congratulations to JJ DiStefano on the publication of “Organized Chaos: Poems About the Mysteries of Life.”

It was a pleasure to welcome Andrew Perez, @andrewpereztv, and @local10news, who joined us to capture the evening.

Wild Bloom Poetry 🌼 May 27

We were welcomed with the smooth guitar sounds of @kevinveniermusic

Featured poet @lanajlyrics took the stage next with a passionate performance.

Then came a rainbow of voices. Poets in their twenties. Poets in their nineties. Stories, reflections, laughter, truths.

As it happens, by the end of the evening, we all felt a little closer.

Long after the final poem, people lingered. Exchanging words, making connections, promising to return soon.

Well… soon is June 17 🤍

When I created Wild Bloom Poetry, my intention was clear: create a space for presence and vulnerability over performance.

A space where community could grow without pressure, polish, or pretense.

One of the most meaningful moments for me is watching someone step onto the stage for the very first time.
Sometimes they come alone.
Sometimes they come just to listen.
And then, when it feels right, they step up to the mic and show up for themselves.

Over time, those moments add up.
Some of these poets kept showing up, month after month.

I’ve come to think of them as Wild Blooms.

They arrived without knowing anyone.
They shared when they were ready.
And after months of showing up, they’re at home in their voice.

Not to impress.
Not to perform.
Just to be heard.

This community exists because of that kind of courage 🌼

I’m pausing to honor the people who have crossed my path along this journey. The conversations, the book signings, the fairs, the quiet moments of connection. None of it feels accidental. This is something I called in, and I’m allowing myself to witness how it continues to unfold. I’m holding a bigger vision now, one that stretches beyond me, and I’m committed to nurturing it with care.

My very first book signing at @bncoralsprings was everything I hoped for and more ✨

Kelly, the manager, was such a blessing. She was kind, supportive, and even invited me back. The staff made me feel so welcome, and I’ll never forget the women who shared their heartfelt stories with me.

My sweet friend @maria.von_g surprised me, and I even had locals bring in copies they had already purchased to be signed.

My heart is so full. Grateful for this moment and excited for what’s to come 💕📖
