Need to start posting about some of these weekends I've been having!!

This weekend I had the pleasure of going to my first ever @mx5ownersclub MX5 National Rally up at @britishmotormuseum up in Gaydon, helping to set up & be on the stand for @themx5restorer 😎

Despite the weather's best efforts around 1,350 mx5's turned up which was astounding!!! 👏🏻 Brilliantly run & well organised & having done many years of Trax, Ford Fair & Fiesta In The Park I know what an utter nightmare it can all be! Shame there wasn't a little bit more auto jumble as I was on the lookout for something specific for a colleague of mine!

I was SO sorely tempted by the mega mega @mx5parts tent. I very nearly went home with the luggage set for my RF but what I really want to get her is the roof top controller kit 🤤😏😉

Also managed to meet @paulcowland_ which was also very awesome 😎👍🏻 Looking forward to doing many more years of these & hopefully a certain fully reworked NA next year 😁

The Mazda Eunos RS Ltd is home again after final round of recommissioning after being in @themx5restorer’s private collection for many years. Fascinating to drive this little car immediately after my 996.2 GT3.

Both track-focused cars for the road. Both have stripped out feel. Both have sense of urgency and just want to drive using all their RPMs. Difference is you can drive flat out and have mega fun all the time in the little Mazda - and still be within the speed limits - oh and roof down too! 😀

The RS is actually much rarer with only 500 made in 1994 for Japan market vs over 2000 globally for 996.2 GT3. Given time and relative low values, much fewer % of the RS’s survive today, even fewer in this original condition, and fewer still with original kevlar+carbon bucket seats.

Now on its @centergravityltd setup sitting on latest MeisterR’s it’s going to be wonderful little sports car perfect for its new life in the Lake District on those tight little twisty roads with the most amazing views & scenery 🚙 🐑

Ok...let's try this again 😡. I posted this yesterday but Insta completely deleted the caption - cheers 👍🏽. I was meant to post this last week, but last week marked 8 years of me owning @moniquetheturbomx5. As much as she has cost me a pretty penny (and will continue to do so!) it's a been a blast!

Thanks to her, I've made awesome experiences, met great people and been to many places - even Germany! Here to many happy (and hopefully pain free 🤞🏽) years.

Edit: I think this issue with the first post was tagging too many people in the caption, what a stupid glitch!

So we didn’t make it as racing drivers at Silverstone last summer, so we’ve decided to become pilots instead… well sort of 👀 ✈️ #eunosroadster #classiccars #mx5ownersclub

Mazda MX5 | Premium deep detail
Finished ✅
That's more like it! After 7 months off the road this lovely little MX5 is looking like a 43k miles car should (wheels are getting refurbished at a later date) from a mossy exterior and moldy interior to a fresh, clean and shiny convertible just in time for summer 🌞
