Another Mk3 MX5 rear sill and arch repair happening in the workshop.

The rear arch panel and rear jacking point panels are available to order on our website, the rear jacking point being exclusive to us, we are also currently developing repair panels for the sill end plate and lower inner arch well, which will soon be available.

It's not just restoration or major works that we undertake, here we have a Mk1 in for new brake discs and pads, during the works we discovered it had a seized rear caliper, so that was also replaced.

This Floor Rail replacement job became more serious when we discovered that the floor pan had some corrosion issues on the inside due to water ingress, so the effected area was cut out and replaced.

Our replacement floor rails are excellent for replacing existing rusty or damaged rails, or simply to add extra stiffness to the body/chassis, available in 1.5mm and 3mm thicknesses to suit all requirements.

Sorry there hasn't been the usual daily posts for a while, the Facebook elf has been busy in the workshop trying to get through all the work we currently have in, which is a good problem to have 👍

Water in Fuel

We have had a few reports recently of water in fuel, with the amount of rain we have had so far this year, it is possible for water to get into the tank via the fuel filler neck if the flap drain is blocked and the cap seal is damaged, so it's well worth checking both these points!

Three MX-5s, three stages of undersealing.

In this video we run through the undersealing process with three Mk3 MX-5s on the ramp, each at a different stage. One is just starting the clean-up and prep, the second has had rust treated and is ready for underseal, and the third has just been completed.

We also check in on the No-Tub MK2 now it’s fully repaired, before moving to the front end where we uncover some seriously rusty chassis rails.

BOSE Stereo Delete
