Winter is coming. But first…
FALL MARATHONS.

Berlin kicks things off this weekend, and these photos made me remember just how freaking cool it is to run 26.2 miles through a city that has been waiting for you to do exactly that.

Good luck to everyone racing Berlin!
Run brave. Run smart. Have the time of your life.

Go get ’em. 🇩🇪

Photos from the finish, Habanero Hundred. The first guy I’m hugging is named Dusty. A volunteer at the race, he helped refill water when I came around the loop, and even ran two loops with me! What a guy, and what a community. Thanks to the race director as well Cal Neff seen handing me the buckle.

What an unforgettable weekend! In its second hottest year, the 11th Annual Habanero Hundred was absolutely epic. Making history with the inaugural 135M distance in the brutal Texas heat would not have been possible without the incredible support of this community!

While 2023 had a higher humidity and heat index, 2026 pushed our runners to the limit. Temperatures in the shade stayed above 100 degrees for 7-9 hours straight - a few hours more of intense exposure compared to 2023. We had days of brutal bluebird skies and blistering temperatures feeling like 105 for the entire duration of the race.

Congratulations to our 19 135M finishers and 18 100M finishers - now 217 runners on the Wall of Flame!

Thank you to everyone involved in making the new additions to the race a huge success and keeping our runners safe in these conditions and making the 10k run from town to ranch - City of Bellville, Bellville PD, @huffbrewingco, @austincountyems, @texsar, @skailive, @7il_ranch.

Stay tuned for more post-race updates, photos for free on @runsignup and Facebook by Friday and see you all on the trails at our upcoming events near Houston!

Grateful for the Journey 🙏🏃‍♂️

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported me, encouraged me, prayed for me, and followed along on this journey. Your messages, calls, comments, and support meant more than you know. ❤️

I set out Friday night at 6:00 PM to attempt the 135-mile trail race in Cat Spring, Texas. This was my first attempt at taking on a distance beyond 100 miles.

I didn’t get the finish I was hoping for, but I’m still proud of what I accomplished. I made it through the night and into Saturday afternoon, finishing 53 miles before deciding my race was over.

Yes, it’s a DNF — but it’s also a new personal distance at Habanero, and I’m choosing to look at the accomplishment rather than the finish line I didn’t reach.

My longest race finish remains my 100-mile Rocky Raccoon finish, but this experience pushed me into new territory and taught me a lot about myself, endurance, and the journey.

Sometimes the victory isn’t crossing the finish line. Sometimes it’s having the courage to start, keep going when it gets hard, and come away ready to try again.

53 miles. 16+ hours. One incredible journey. And I’m not done yet. 💪🔥

Thank you all for being part of the journey. ❤️

Shout out to @campkinro for fueling me for over 16 hours!
