What an incredible day at the inaugural Texas Faith Summit, an initiative of the newly established Texas Faith Office!

A special thank you to my friend, @nateschatzline, Senior Advisor to Governor Greg Abbott, for his leadership and commitment to advancing faith in our great state.

I also want to express my gratitude to @governorabbott for his bold and unwavering stand for faith, freedom, and the Christian principles upon which Texas was founded.

At a time when so many are retreating from their convictions, I’m grateful for leaders who are willing to stand boldly for theirs.

Today, I’m especially proud to be a Texan!

You lead with courage, walk in obedience, and chase after the heart of God with everything you have. You went first, and because you did, a whole house gets to run in the culture God built.

Thank you for choosing honor in every season. Thank you for forgiving when it was hard. Thank you for giving generously with no strings attached. Thank you for pursuing holiness boldly and for stewarding His house with faithfulness and joy.

Happy Birthday to my other best friend of 21 years, @thenikkicody !!

What’s even more rare than 1 best friend of 21 years, is 2 best friends of 21 years…both with a bday 1 day apart from one another!!

I’m the most blessed woman to have you @thenikkicody as a friend + partner in crime! 💃🏼💃🏻

God has brought us through so much, tragedies + miracles, the worst of days + the best of days…we are truly living in our best days!

You’ve been a constant woman by my side praying for me, trailblazing with me…even in the hardest marathon of my life in the hill country of Austin. I’ll never forget you being adamant you were going to ride a bike to intercede over me, carry things for me, serve me + to just be with me for the duration of a marathon through mountains and a crazy storm with wind, rain, lightning and thunder…you rode the whole way as I ran…I’m not sure I would’ve ran that marathon under 4 hours, let alone finish without your strength and support! 😭

I remember being with you in the Dr office the day you found out about GG’s heart condition + them telling you they didn’t know if she would live as a shock to both you + I as we were just going to hear her heart beat on the monitor. You gave me the opportunity to stand with you believing for the miraculous…which is exactly what happened. That newborn baby after open heart surgery ripped her own tubes out a couple days later + not long after that you were taking her home to the shock of the doctors thinking you’d be there for months. It’s been a joy to do life with you, through all the ups + downs.

You are a mighty woman of faith, a true Christian + absolutely hysterical. No one talks with their hands quite like you!😂 No one laughs harder w/me at me making fun of our husbands like you, you are my ride or die…just like we drive those cars like they’re race cars! 😂🏎️ And make @lisamsaville wanna barf in the back!

I love you. I honor you. I’m so very grateful for you + I’m proud to be your friend Nikki Cody! There’s no one like you!

21 years of friendship and building God’s house together… what a gift God gave me when He gave me you!

It’s rare what we have, 21 years later, closer than ever. Made it through the valleys and mountain tops stronger than before. Dreams full-filled together, in fact we’ve been each other’s midwives for the God dreams birthed. We get to raise our children together, fulfill the call of God on our families’ lives together, celebrate, cry and build the church together!

We’ve made decades of memories together, gone on adventure after adventure together, shared the best of laughs together … you are a gift to my life Lisa!

I’m so proud of what you have overcome in your life, you’re not a quitter. You have refused to give up or in through great trials in your life. You’re a spiritual warrior that’s still tender and loves people so well! You lift my arms, you’re a pillar in the house of God, you’re fiery and compassionate… YOU ARE AN AMAZING WOMAN!!!

One of the first things you’re warned about when you have a baby is how quickly time passes. I cannot overstate how true that is.

It seems like just yesterday we had a little bald-headed baby boy, and now he’s a married man! I woke up the day after the wedding thinking, “I can’t believe my little boy is on a Greek island with a woman!” 😂

There are no words to describe how proud I am of our son and how thankful @thenikkicody and I are for his beautiful bride, @averyjanecody. We have prayed for her since @alxcdyyy was born, and we could not be happier with the woman the Lord has blessed our boy with. They are going to be a force to be reckoned with for the Kingdom!

Just a few short days before the wedding, we were discussing what it might look like to postpone it because of Nikki’s serious injury and two weeks in the hospital. But we locked in and prayed, and within days she was released—and dancing with her son at his wedding!

What a good God we serve!

Alex and Avery, there are no words to express how proud we are of both of you and how excited we are for all that God has for your future. We love you beyond words!

i love you so much and i’m so happy you live in FW again. @thenikkicody is my elder, my pastor and my dearest friend. look at how her face radiates the love of Jesus, it shines on every person she encounters. there is so much to celebrate with you these days, and even in the challenging moments we find Jesus and it leads us to thanksgiving and praise! ps. she just celebrated her oldest and only sons wedding. congrats, your an incredible mama! @thenikkicody ♥️

Beautiful memories made this weekend with my Sophomore daughter + her close friends for Homecoming!✨

I’m so proud of the way my daughter and her friends steward their relationship with Christ, purity and fun! You can accomplish all of those things!

I’m thankful for a school like @mercyculturepreparatory that stewards the same things at the highest priority!

On another note, I can’t believe time has gone by so fast 😭 that my baby girl has grown up so quickly… but what a joy to be so very proud of the young woman she is becoming. After being her mom, she’s also one of my mini best friends. I adore these special moments with her.

What a day we had from nails, hair, make up with food, friends, family and laughter. Then they danced the night away. 💃🏼 The best memories were made!

Thank you @brushbymichele for doing the girls hair and make up, you’re incredible!

Thank you @itsceli_07 for being the best chaperone and photographer! You’re the best!

Yesterday night, we interceded for Pastor @thenikkicody as she had previously suffered a back injury and had not been able to walk. We later got a video recording of her PICKING UP HER MAT AND WALKING!

Truth is not a concept—truth is a Person! Drawing nearer to the person of Jesus is easy when you mediate on His Word.

The Word is our sword. And truth, the belt fashioned for our armor. We cannot endure spiritual battles if we’re not equipped!

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
