Happy Monday! What's a girl to do when she has hundreds of books on her TBR? Go to the library to get more of course! I was inspired by @the.grim.readers recent library haul post to share my own current library loans. At the beginning of 2026 I made a conscious effort to utilize my local library and Libby/Hoopla to "try before I buy." And I am so glad that I did! Many of my library loans have ended up being books that I ended up purchasing on my own and adding to my yearly favorites. 🗽the city 🚕⠀ ⠀ iykyk - it’s always the city 😍 ⠀ ⠀ spending the day in the city felt like coming home. so when I visit it’s hard to balance going back to places I love and adore and trying out new places. ⠀ ⠀ & a balance I achieved! ⠀ ⠀ 📍@fromlucienyc — snagged the best cakes and cookies and had the most delicious orange blossom latte (lines form so get there when it opens)⠀ ⠀ 📍@venierospastry — this is my go to Italian cookie shop! I always buy pignolis and rainbow cookies. always amazing and always delicious! ⠀ ⠀ I then wandered over to a photo booth because why not! ⠀ ⠀ & before I met up with @thenycreader I had to stop by @bookclubbar and do some reading in the back and buy myself a little non-edible treat 😂 ⠀ ⠀ 📍@clintonstbakingco — I have never been here before and felt a little touristy but the pancakes 🥞 were divine and hanging out with @thenycreader was incredible! ⠀ ⠀ I then met up with my bestie and Rob and had drinks in a park while we waited to go have dinner. ⠀ ⠀ It was truly such a lovely day! ⠀ ⠀ #lowereastsidenyc #eastvillage #bakeriesofinstagram #nycrecs

Book mail 📚 Over the weekend, I received this gorgeous copy of Odessa by Gabrielle Sher, which comes out tomorrow, April 21st. A huge thank you to @thenycreader @_gabrielle_sher and @littlebrown for this gifted copy! Odessa is one of my most anticipated books for 2026, and I am so excited to read it. As a lover of Jewish and horror books, this will be the perfect crossover for me. And the cover—can we talk about the cover?! It’s truly stunning! Summary: In a powerfully imagined Russia at the height of the pogroms, a grief-stricken family turn to ancient magic to bring their daughter back from the grave.  Yetta is a bright, quick teenage girl with a wild, searching spirit. Stifled by her mother’s anxiety, her father’s rules, and the path that’s been laid out for her, she craves freedom, the edges of which she doesn’t know. But her family has reason to be cautious and restrictive. Fear has wrapped itself around their shtetl. Jews are mysteriously disappearing, and there are whispers of an impending attack. 🔪SGJ WEEK DAY THREE: BHH TAKES NEW YORK🔪 If you were watching my stories last week, you’ll know I flew to NYC to spend less than 24 hours celebrating the pub day of THE BUFFALO HUNTER HUNTER. It was an epic trip!! Filled with so many faces I love, a badass visit to the @sagapressbooks offices, DELICIOUS food, and denim cowboy boots that got many many comments on the street 😂 I had so much fun — extra thanks to: • Savannah and Camryn for saving me from the subway hating my guts • Stefan for humoring all my pitches of unpublished SGJs • @thenycreader for being my tour guide bestie • @claymcleod for trying to escape without talking to me (DENIED!) • Victor for being such a delight to chat with • @wilbooksniffer, @azhangia.reads, and @irritable.gal.syndrome for being hilarious and more or less as insane as me 🫶 • @inkblotsespressoshots for being the best on and off screens!! • @kariboheme for bringing back my childhood fear of elevators I tell you what though, when I stepped off the plane into LaGuardia airport, I did a triple take because I thought I was in the wrong place 😅 WOW what a makeover! Despite this trip being nonstop extroversion, 10/10 would trip again. See you in 2026 for Saber Ridge, NYC ✌️

✨ Chapter 35 ✨ Today I’m celebrating another journey around the sun with my husband and daughter (and of course diving into a good book). Although this picture was taken in the Florida sunshine last year and I’m currently home in freezing NJ, there’s no place I’d rather be. I wanted to take today to say that I know I haven’t been as active on here as I used to be, there’s been so much real life stuff going on lately. But I’m still here, still reading!
