We hosted our second Pilates Mat Certification this weekend, and it reminded us why we created Group X Academy in the first place.
There’s something incredibly rewarding about teaching people who are genuinely willing to learn, grow, and invest in themselves. Our vision was always to create a space where fitness professionals can continue to learn, build meaningful connections, and elevate their skills and confidence.
Education doesn’t stop once you become an instructor. Growth happens when we stay curious, continue developing our craft, and support one another along the way. Thank you to everyone who spent the weekend with us and trusted us to be part of their journey.

I love that we have this moment captured.

Being a part of the beauty industry I love to share my skills and use them as an expression of my gratitude and adoration to those closest to me.

The moments when I get to take care of your grooming mean so much to me, because its me getting to take care of you.

This one was extra special though. Thank you for trusting me to be the one to cut your locs.
I am very aware of how a hairstyle can become an identity and a trademark. Your long locs were truly epic babe but what makes you special could never be cut away.

Taking a moment to look back over the last 20 years and reflect on how much I have evolved and changed and grown as a person. All of these different versions of myself have made me the woman I am today, and I wouldn't change any of the experiences and life lessons that it took to get me here ❤️

Happy Birthday to me. Another year wiser and stronger 💪🏻🫶🏼

Huge thank you to my family and loved ones who have guided, supported and loved me unconditionally when I needed it most.

Couldn't let March end without sharing some highlights from our March Break trip to Niagara Falls! Amazing what you can pack into 3 days!
So much to do, and with these two in my life, everything is a fun adventure!

The work never stops because my goal isn't short term. It's the long game I'm playing. Motivation isn't required when you are disciplined and determined. I deserve to live a long and healthy life, don't you?

TOMORROW the video featuring my first single "One Thing I Can Afford" premieres at the 28th Edition of the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival @reelasian, Canada's premier pan-Asian film festival. Directed by Casey Mecija @caseymecija, I am grateful to have "One Thing I Can Afford" as the backdrop to the video's narrative broadly addressing queer and trans friendship in the diaspora, Filipinx masculinities, and everyday enactments of transgenerational care. Casey has been a big supporter of my solo project, lending her iconic vocals to the Louie Sanchez EP and being a scholarly sounding board about Filipinos and country music.
