PHOENIX, A TIME WAS HAD!! 😂🔥

One thing about the GAS GANG, they NEVER disappoint! 🫶🏼

One of my FAVORITE parts of the weekend is THE PEOPLE! Catching up with old friends, making new ones, finally putting faces to IG names, and learning from some amazing CRNAs! ❤️

And the BEST part? Some of the people I met at Diversity CRNA back in 2023 are now in CRNA school or about to graduate too!! 🥹🙌🏼 Love seeing us all WIN!

The anesthesia world is SMALL, y’all! 😂

To my aspiring CRNAs, don’t wait until you’re accepted to start showing up! Go to these events, ask questions, meet people, and invest in YOURSELF. You truly never know where one conversation might lead.

You can’t be what you can’t see! 👏🏼

To everyone I met or reconnected with, THANK YOU for the laughs, the love, and for letting me be a little part of your journey while reminding me how far I’ve come in mine. 🥹❤️
Definitely a weekend for the books!

Until next time, GAS GANG! ✌🏼🔥. #diversitycrna #icunurse #crnaschool #srna

NEW EPISODE DAY! 🎧 Military CRNAs may be asked to provide anesthesia in environments where resources are limited, backup is far away, and the responsibility rests squarely on them. That experience can shape not only clinical skill, but also leadership, confidence, adaptability, and decision-making.

In this episode recorded at AANA Congress in Boston, Levi and Mackenzie explore the military CRNA careers of Jan Setnor, MSN, CRNA, Col. (Ret), USAFR, NC, and Greg Collins, DNP, CRNA. Both guests have experience providing anesthesia in deployed environments, and they open up about what military service taught them about practicing under pressure and serving as part of a larger mission. For any future CRNAs considering a military path, this conversation will help provide you with a clearer picture of the opportunities, responsibilities, and personal growth that can come with that choice.

🎧NEW EPISODE DAY!!🎧 Nurse anesthesia school can be demanding, isolating, and humbling, but it does not have to be experienced alone. The Nurse Anesthesiology Resident Association (NARA) is an organization run by residents for residents, and we had the opportunity to sit down with President Dazjia Green and Vice President Omar Durand at the Annual Congress in Boston.

We’ll hear how NARA serves the resident community and what our guests have learned from balancing school, leadership, and life. They also share what resident life really feels like, how quickly confidence can swing in clinical, and why building a national community matters for the future of the profession.

🎧 New Episode Day!! 🎧 A career in nurse anesthesia does not have to follow one path. For Tracy Young, MSNA, MBA, CRNA, it certainly did not. His career has included clinical practice, entrepreneurship, business leadership, advocacy, state association leadership, national board service, and eventually the presidency of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology. But one of the most interesting parts of his story is that none of it was part of one grand plan.

The new AANA President joins Grade 1 View from Annual Congress in Boston to share how his path evolved from bedside nursing and anesthesia into entrepreneurship, advocacy, and national leadership. Along the way, he reflects on the importance of gratitude, professional involvement, strong governance, and making the next right decision rather than try-ing to map out an entire career from the beginning.

A quick shout out to our two AZANA NAR representatives Bahadur Ghataorhe (University of Arizona) and Preston Woods (Midwestern University) for making the trek to Annual Congress in Boston between busy schedules! We are lucky to have them and appreciate their continued advocacy.

We’d love to hear about other NARs attending annual congress as well! Rep your school in the comments!
