My first AANA Annual Congress and genuinely one of the best weekends I’ve had in years.

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to finally meet people I’ve followed online and watched throughout their journeys to becoming CRNAs. @annajcrna, @nurse.jackiecrna, @thatcrnawholifts, and @thehealthymurse, so cool getting to meet you all in real life!

It was also awesome running into some old coworkers and familiar faces. @lalalabrianna3, @jamison_ml, @brinorring. Sometimes the world feels so small.

But one of the best parts of the weekend was finding such a solid crew. I don’t think I’ve ever connected with a group of people so instantly. @dane_alma, @mvivs6, @kenny.fuce, @levi.d_ , @kelsey_muir16. Y’all are stuck with me forever now. Sorry, I don’t make the rules. 😂

I walked into my first clinical rotation terrified, not knowing what to expect or if l was ready. Looking back now, I don’t think it could have gone any better.

I made mistakes, some that I never would have made as a nurse. There were moments I felt embarrassed, but every mistake became an opportunity to learn, improve, and become a better future CRNA.

What surprised me most was how excited was to show up every single day. After years of working toward this goal, I finally got to do what I had dreamed about. It reminded me why all the long nights, sacrifices, and studying were worth it.

I’m incredibly grateful to the CRNAs and anesthesiologists who were patient with me, challenged me, answered my endless questions, and helped build the foundation I’ll carry with me throughout my career.

I’m also thankful for the friendships I made along the way. Sharing this experience with you guys made this rotation even more meaningful and why I enjoyed my time in Tucson so much. by @theofficialnic_
