Well... The wait is over.

We are extremely proud to finally introduce the newest member of the AmongRuins family: Stelios Pepinidis, our new drummer.

Stelios has been a friend of ours for years, and we have watched and admired him behind the kit long before he became part of AmongRuins. We’ve seen him play with different bands, on different stages, and every time, the same thought kept coming back: One day, we want that guy behind our drum kit. Guess what!!! Now, he finally is!

His sound is exactly what we wanted for AmongRuins: massive, tight, aggressive and precise. Pure headbanging material and we know he’ll give everything he has to this band and make the whole crowd move.

But his role in AmongRuins goes beyond the drum kit.

He has already been helping us with many aspects of the band, and from now on, he will also be the man behind many of the videos and visual content we’ll be sharing with you through our social media.

And this is only the beginning.

We already know that the next record we make together is going to be a different experience, even for us. We are genuinely excited to see where this combination takes AmongRuins, both in the studio and on stage.

So, welcome to the family, Stelios.

Together, we’re going to give you the best AmongRuins experience we possibly can, in the studio and, most importantly, on live stage.

Promise.

As a little taste of what’s coming, a drum performance of “Advent of Chaos” will take place the next few days.

And while we’re here, we want to give a massive thank you to our previous drummer, Scott Naylor (@thatnegativedrummer ) who stood behind the AmongRuins drum kit and carried the role with everything he had. He is one of the best guys we could have shared this journey with, and although our paths are now separating for purely practical reasons, there is nothing but respect and gratitude from our side. We wish him nothing but the best for everything that lies ahead for him in England.

New chapter. Same fire.

See you on the stage.

🥀 🇫🇮 𝑨𝑺 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑺𝑼𝑵 𝑭𝑨𝑳𝑳𝑺 : "𝑽𝒊𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒏 𝑨𝒂𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒌𝒐𝒊" (𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒂𝒘𝒏)
✧ 𝑺𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑼𝒑𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒆

Every dawn is a victory stolen from a dark that never stops hunting us.

In Northern folklore, the balance of the cosmos hangs by a thread on an eternal chase across the stars. A white celestial reindeer, the bearer of light and life, is relentlessly pursued by the Archer of the Dark. If the arrow ever finds its mark, the next dawn will never rise. Time will freeze, and everything will fade into absolute zero.

This freezing, cosmic dread is exactly what AS THE SUN FALLS capture in their new standalone single "Viimeinen Aamunkoi" (The Final Dawn). A dark ritual delivered entirely through the harsh edge of the Finnish language, dragging the listener into a world where darkness wins the battle. Gogo Melone’s haunting artwork perfectly visualizes this final descent.

The final dawn is fading.

𝑼𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒖𝒍𝒔𝒆: Listeners instantly connected with the song's freezing aura. Among devotees of extreme metal, the choice to embrace their native Finnish lyrics is highlighted as an authentic touch that deepens the track's emotional weight, framing it as the ultimate dark prelude to their upcoming European tour.

‼️ NEW SINGLE ‼️

Following the release of our album Songs From The Veil, we are incredibly happy to release one more song, and the final chapter of this journey.

“VIIMEINEN AAMUNKOI”
is now available worldwide! ❄️

https://youtu.be/3Yp-3QSzjsw

Written during the Songs From The Veil songwriting sessions, this composition was ultimately left off the album due to the albums already extended runtime and its Finnish lyrics. Originally intended to become one of the album’s most thematically distinctive songs, it has now been brought back to life as a standalone single for our 2026 European Tour.

Recorded entirely by the band and mixed and mastered by our guitarist Juuso Laitinen, this single is more than just a new song. It represents the final chapter of the Songs From The Veil story, and at the same time, the beginning of the next chapter of As The Sun Falls. 🎶

The song tells the tale of a Cosmic Reindeer carrying the life and existence of our universe. Every night, an archer appears to hunt it down, an eternal dance between life and death. One day, the hunter will succeed, piercing the reindeer’s heart and bringing the universe to its final end. 🦌

For the artwork of the single, we decided to work once again with Gogo Melone, who has delivered another fantastic piece of art to accompany this story.

“VIIMEINEN AAMUNKOI” is now available on all major streaming platforms and on YouTube via the link below.
