It’s a beautiful day as TV Host Dawn McCoy takes us behind the scenes to Preview The Palm Springs Paradise Home Tour - an anchor event of Modernism Week October - the Fall Festival celebrating Desert Architecture & Design.

Here we preview one of the six homes to be featured on the Paradise Home Tour - this one located in Pinnacle - an exclusive enclave of just 12 impressive residences built into the hillside of the Andreas Canyons in South Palm Springs.

Palm Springs Life Magazine describes the home as an architectural wonder that seems to float among the mountains. Originally built by DW Johnston with Architect Jim Cioffi, this Desert Modern has high ceilings and huge moveable walls of glass that take full advantage of the sweeping desert views from all angles. The current owners, writer HL Cherryholmes and his husband Ron Cogan (who has been my friend since grade school back east) purchased the property in 2019 when they brought on Francie Flynn and I to reimagine the property. We honored the striking architecture of the home while adding graphic wall coverings and custom furnishings that seamlessly compliment the surrounding desertscape. The true star of the property are the Big Horn Sheep who stand tall and proud on the surrounding cliffs and ledges.

Tickets for the October 16th Tour go on Sale August 1st. We do expect a Sell Out!

Follow @modernism_week

A portion of every ticket purchased will go directly to the Loving Way Foundation in support of their quest to ease the burden of families who fall victim to child abuse.
