I’ve been seeing my mother in my sleep for a few days now and in my dreams, she’s not dead. She’s still so full of life and love. I’ll be holding on to that. Wept going through our conversations tho. I miss my parents so much ❤️.

The words are kind.
The prayers are appreciated.

But this loss is reminding me that no condolence can heal a heart that has been shattered.

Yall remember my last banana bread story? Well I received 4 banana bread variants this time. A better man asked me what I wanted and I really wanted to try this combo deal @theoven.ng has. So as soon as I got that credit alert I placed my order and was so happy when I received it.

I got four flavors:
Regular banana bread
Coconut
Chocolate chunks
Carrot

Can you guess which of them is my favorite?

The “Last Slice” Betrayal: A 10/10 Lagos Banana Bread Review 🍌🍞

As a former baker (shoutout to my NissyCooks days in Toronto! 🇨🇦), I have a very high bar for what qualifies as “good” banana bread. I’ve caught the bug, I’ve mastered the crumb, and I’ve seen it all.

Lagos food vendors can be a literal gamble. So, when I finally took a leap of faith with @theoven.ng, I wasn’t expecting to find a new obsession.

The Verdict:
• The Bread: I tried the mini raisin banana bread and the midi vanilla loaf cake. Both were elite, but the raisin one? Spectacular. 10/10.
• The Service: Next-day delivery in Lagos? They’re already in my good books. 🚚💨
• The Red Flag: I offered a slice to the man I was talking to (because I have home training), but he went ahead and ate the very last slice I was saving for the next day.

Is it just bread? Or is it a lack of boundaries and self-control? 🚩 Personally, that was the final straw.

If you’re looking for the best banana bread in Lagos, @theoven.ng is the one. Just... maybe don’t share it 🤭

Drop a comment: Are you forgiving him for eating the last slice, or is that grounds for an immediate breakup? Let’s settle this below!
