A lil’ while ago I was getting my haircut and one of the barbers in the shop told me I had to check out @thepakitaco! 🌮 Like with any recommendation I get, I bookmarked it for whenever I’m in the area and can check them out. 😌 Their main food struck operates out of #Hartford, #CT so be sure to check their socials to see where they’ll be. What a weekend! From the first liter to the last, we had a blast serving you during our 1st Oktoberfest. Massive thank you’s to Jayy’s, The Paki Taco, Em Sauter of Pints and Panels and Josh Jenkins of Pressing Plant for feeding, drawing, and spinning records for our guests. Also a big thank you to our FOH dream team for keeping those Maß full of delicious beer all weekend long! It was great to see all of you hoisting liters and enjoying yourselves, that’s truly what it’s all about for us here at TPB. We have some amazing food trucks rolling in this upcoming week, and we’ll have a new Hazy IPA debuting as well. Maßkrug! Think you got what it takes? This is a test of pure strength and mental fortitude - hoisting a Maßkrug before you, outlasting your opponents, and taking home the bragging rights! We’ll be having a stein hoisting contest this weekend at our 1st Oktoberfest (Plourdtoberfest to some). Contests will begin at 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday, ladies will be up first and gents to follow. Free to join, fun for all, and gift card prizes to the winners. OKTOBERFEST RUNDOWN: Saturday (12-8pm) - Jayy’s (@jayys_) will be in the house slinging a festive themed menu for all to enjoy Steinhoisting Contest @ 3pm Sunday (12-6pm) - The Paki Taco (@thepakitaco) will be hanging with us serving up their world famous Butter Chicken Gordita Crunch, along with their other goods The Pressing Plant (@pressing_plant) will be spinning vinyl 1-4pm keeping us all in high spirits Steinhoisting @ 3pm Em Sauter of Pints and Panels (@pintsandpanels) will be here doing flash portraits Zicke Zacke, Zicke Zacke! OKTOBERFEST MÄRZENBIER! Truly the most wonderful time of the year. The sun is setting just a bit earlier, nights are beginning to cool, and if you’re like us here at TPB - you’re welcoming the Märzen’s into your life with open arms. Our Oktoberfest Märzen is built around Munich malt for that warm, rich maltiness accented by a touch of German Mittelfrüh hops for balance. Lagered as patiently as we could until it was time to unleash this copper-hued lager into the world. At 5.5% abv it has the heft for the upcoming seasonality, but can easily be sessioned for multiple half-liters. Come put it to the test - PROST! As a reminder - our 1st Oktoberfest Celebration will be next week (!) Saturday and Sunday September 12 & 13. Expect liter pours, stein holding contests, food trucks, music, and overall levels of joy never before seen. Hope to see you then!
