Do you feel like you’re making good progression… but still feeling like rubbish?

Plyometrics could be the missing piece.

A lot of us train like bodybuilders — chasing reps, sets, and muscle (and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that). But sometimes training can start to feel repetitive, and we lose the thing that made movement exciting in the first place: athleticism.

That’s exactly where I found myself.

So I started bringing plyometrics back into my training — which is basically just the fancy fitness word for jumping.

And honestly? Game changer.

Plyometrics aren’t just about jumping higher. They improve:
⚡ Cardiovascular fitness
🦴 Bone density
💥 Explosive power
🧠 Coordination & reaction time

But my favourite benefit?

They make you feel athletic again.

Using your body in a powerful, functional way. Moving fast. Being explosive. Feeling capable.

At 38, that feeling matters to me.

Not just looking fit — but feeling like I can run, jump, move, and do fun things without worrying my body’s going to pull up at any second.

So if your training feels stale, try this at the start of your workout (takes 5–8 minutes):

3 sets × 6 reps of each:
• Hops
• Split squat jumps
• Dynamic seated box jumps
• Explosive burpees

Go hard, go slow, take your time — there are loads of ways to scale it.

But start adding plyometrics back in.

Because building muscle is great.
Building a body that feels powerful? Even better.

✨ 38 today and finding a way instead of finding excuses. 🎈

We’ve ALL got 10 minutes… so what’s your excuse? 👀🔥

No gym. No equipment. No nonsense.
Just YOU vs YOU for the next 10 minutes.

⏱️ Set a timer for 10 minutes and go:
• Burpees
• Squats
• V-sit kick outs
• Press-ups

Pick your reps and keep cycling through. Simple… but not easy 😤

I hit 10 reps of each and got through 7 rounds 💪
Now it’s your turn — how many can YOU get?

Drop your rounds below ⬇️ and tag someone who’s got no excuses today 👊

✨Most people quit training because they’re chasing the wrong thing.🏋🏻‍♂️

Fall in love with the process.

Strength & conditioning, gymnastics, calisthenics, plyometrics, football, hockey — whatever it is. If you enjoy the work, the results will come.

Training only for aesthetics rarely lasts. But training to move well, get stronger, and feel athletic? That sticks. 💪

And the irony is… when you focus on performance and good nutrition, the physique usually follows anyway.

Love the process. The results are the by-product. 🔁🔥

“Falling off the ladder.”
“Not in the swing of things.”
“I’ve failed!”
We throw around these phrases — but the truth is, life isn’t that black and white.

We all have tough moments with our fitness and nutrition. Especially as life gets busier — jobs, kids, responsibilities. Just remember that…

👉 Failure and success aren’t opposites. They’re part of the same journey. You have to stumble to move forward.

That’s why it’s so important to fall in love with the process, not just the outcome.

I’ve spent the last 6 weeks (after a year of full dedication) not locked in on my nutrition or fitness routines. And that’s okay. I’m not being hard on myself — because this is the process.

Motivation always comes back. The key is to:
✔️ Pick yourself up
✔️ Find your consistency
✔️ Create accountability
✔️ Lock back into your program

Let’s go. 🚀💪
