🌿 ROOTED IN WELLNESS: RAISING HEALTHY CHILDREN 🌿

What does it really take to raise healthy, thriving kids?

Join us for our next Rooted in Wellness event on September 17 at 6 PM for an eye-opening conversation about the foundations of childhood health—and the simple, proactive things parents can do to help their children thrive.

We’re bringing together three local practitioners with different areas of expertise, but one shared goal: helping families build healthier foundations from the inside out.

✨ Dr. Trey Williams | Peds MD
A direct primary care pediatrician who brings personalized, old-school medicine into the modern world—with house calls, direct access, and a focus on prevention and true partnership with parents.

✨ Ashley Dorado | MyoMovement
A myofunctional practitioner helping children and adults address breathing, oral function, sleep, airway health, and more. She’ll help us understand the connections parents may not always see between how our kids breathe, sleep, eat, and develop.

✨ Dr. Jamil Farakh | Trinity Family Chiropractic
A family chiropractor focused on gentle, nervous-system-centered care and supporting children through healthy development.

✨MC for the night is the incredible @jennaleerude, owner of @raisedonplants

Together, we’ll talk about:
🌱 What parents should be doing before there’s a problem
🧠 The connection between the nervous system, development, and overall health
😴 Breathing, sleep, and oral function—and why they matter
👀 Signs parents may be overlooking
💡 Simple, realistic ways to support your child’s health at home
❓ And the questions you’ve always wanted to ask your child’s healthcare providers

Whether you’re raising a toddler, school-aged child, or teenager, you’ll leave with practical tips, fresh perspectives, and actionable ideas you can start using right away.

She’s done!!! What I loved about this one is how it was the product of discipline: dedicating an hour or two a week to painting. Something new for me. I usually let the practical to-do lists supersede (don’t we all!) ☀️When I create, I feel most connected to who I am, and this was a great exercise in remembering that! And, super excited to have made this for @thepedsmd clinic space! A tribute to med school days in Charleston 🌴

It's still summer in North Carolina! And it feels like it.

Dr. Trey from @thepedsmd talked to us about the importance of protecting our kids' skin from the sun.

His favorite pick? UPF clothing. But he also has takes on sunscreen.

What is a concierge pediatrician? Dr. Trey Williams talks to us about the new but not new model of house calls and why he loves running into members at target.

[Expert] Dr. Trey Williams on: The Peds MD, bringing back house calls, and supporting families

Dr. Trey built @thepedsmd because he got tired of a system that wasn’t built for families. House calls. 24/7 text access. Checkups that actually last. We get into everything — sunscreen and what to actually look for on the label, the honest truth about sleep training programs, summer illnesses to watch for, and what it’s like to be a pediatrician AND a dad of two toddlers.

Spoiler: even he felt like he was on an island with a newborn. This one is for every parent who has ever called a nurse triage line and ended up more confused than when they started.

We were stacked with incredible expert speakers the last month, including Paige Wheeler, of @languageforalifetime ! Paige, a speech pathologist, discovered a passion for working with children and finding creative ways to engage with them after the birth of her son. Our moms loved chatting all things infant development with her 🤍

Parents are exhausted and we’re hearing the same sleep struggles over and over. 😴

@thepedsmd + @stellarbabysleep are going LIVE Wednesday, May 6 at 8PM EST for a Sleep Q&A where pediatric health meets baby sleep!

We’re covering it from both sides: what’s medically normal vs. what’s a sleep issue, so you finally get a clear picture of why sleep breaks down and what actually helps.

We’ll be covering:
— Why your baby is waking overnight (and how to fix it)
— Bedtime battles & early morning wake-ups
— Is it a sleep issue… or something medical?
— YOUR questions, answered live!

Tap the reminder button OR comment “LIVE” and we’ll send you the details! 🤍
