DAY SIX AFTER HURRICANE LOWELL

I am still without electricity and water. Across Kauaʻi, people are rebuilding, helping one another and showing the strength of this island. That is the beauty that rises from something so devastating.

But the economic impact is already here. Hotel occupancy is down to nearly 15%. Visitors have left. Local jobs and incomes have been disrupted. Local businesses are feeling it immediately.

This is not only about me or FLY LAGREE FITNESS. I want to recognize my fellow women in fitness:

@theplayground808 @getoffkauaifitness @thesanctuarykauai @barreupfitness @barresoulkauai @lavidakauai @megaformerkauai &&& More…

On this small island, we are more than fitness studios. We are wellness hubs. We support people’s mental health and physical well-being, and our work reaches far beyond teaching a workout class.

When someone is struggling, we listen. When someone is in crisis, we help connect them with doctors, therapists and other resources. We help people find their way forward.

I know these women personally. Their businesses were built from the heart—with passion, purpose and a commitment to empowering others.

To my fellow studio leaders: Hang in there. I see you.

To our community: If you are able, please stay with us. Keep your membership. Take a class. Purchase a package. Share a post. Support the local businesses that will continue supporting Kauaʻi throughout its recovery.

We need you now so we can continue being here for you.

Kauaʻi is strong. Together, we will rebuild.

As an instructor this is what you should be putting out every class! If it’s not, stop teaching haha.

As a client this is what you should be receiving every class! If it’s not, find a new studio 😉.

The struggle of summarizing a 45 min Bieber Bounce class to under 3 mins is a struggle 🤣🥳💜

Don’t try to be perfect, it’s boring. Make mistakes and have fun with it.
