A DJ doesn’t just play music. They read the room. I wanted to make this documentary to not only show how we see this craft but also how they see us consuming it. So we spent the weekend following Krate Digga from gig to gig to understand the person behind it all. THE KRATE DOC Full documentary now on YouTube. #TheKrateDoc #DJLife #ColumbusOhio #Documentary #DJCulture

I’ll say the quiet part out loud. I see a lot of people say, “Winning this award led to this brand deal,” or “Winning this award led to signing with this network.” I’m not here to say that isn’t true for them. For some people, it absolutely is. I’ve been fortunate to earn a significant amount of critical acclaim for my work, and I’ve been able to leverage that recognition into opportunities I’m grateful for. But here’s what people don’t always say out loud: Awards don’t level the playing field. There is still a hierarchy. There is still gatekeeping. And talent alone isn’t always what gets rewarded. Too often, the system rewards proximity, profit, and privilege. That’s not bitterness. That’s reality. So if you’ve done the work, earned the recognition, and you’re still wondering why certain doors remain closed, don’t assume it’s because you’re not good enough. Sometimes excellence gets you to the door. Access is what gets you inside. #DoWithThatWhatYouWill #SeeYouAtWork

Busy weekend. Friday: Dedication ceremony at @westwoodhs_scs Saturday: Memphis Greek Festival at @lemoyneowencollege Sunday: Interviewed @darrahhall for my for my doc about Tennessee’s redistricting. This upcoming week: Test some equipment, get some b roll, do some small gigs and then it’s off to South Carolina for a client. As my friend @annadeshawn says, I’m “just working the work”.

Something special happened today in the southwest corner of Memphis today. So used my craft to tell a story. Congratulations to Terris “TK” King, Ricky Richardson, and the families of Emerson Able II and Harold E. McRae.

The beauty of becoming a new filmmaker is that your friends allow you to practice and try things with them. Last month we traveled to Columbus, Ohio to be part of a one of a kind experience, #FLOHState. But that entire weekend we followed my guy @kratedigga around the city for his multiple gigs. And we filmed it all. So on August 13th, a The Tables Might Wobble Film from the @mpnmanagement , we present, The Krate Doc. Krate shares insights from that weekend and the craft he has perfected over the years.

Sometimes the most meaningful stories aren’t about the outcome. They’re about the decision to pursue something that most people believe is impossible. BEYOND 4 follows Paralympian Joel Gomez as he chases one of the most iconic barriers in athletics: the four-minute mile. More than a film about a race, it’s a story about preparation, resilience, and the courage to keep chasing a dream that extends far beyond the clock. Honored to have documented this chapter of Joel’s journey. #Beyond4 #SportsDocumentary #TrackAndField #Paralympian

Basically, we shot a track and field event and a sports doc simultaneously over the weekend. We are spent. But we gained +1000 XP. And Beale Street was crazy yesterday. Shot put by day, pole vault at night. 📸: @eatteachcreate 🎥: @thepodpilot
