Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has the power to shut down construction RIGHT NOW on Line 5, an oil pipeline owned by Canadian multinational Enbridge being built in the Lake Superior watershed in Wisconsin, but is refusing to do so. Line 5 has spilled 34 times in its lifetime. This includes a spill of 1.3 million gallons of natural gas liquids, the largest spill in Wisconsin’s history, just two months ago. It threatens the treaty rights of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe, the Lake Superior watershed, and a livable future for planet earth. That’s why we disrupted Governor Evers at an awards ceremony where he received a “Lifetime award for Justice”. In attendance was the Democratic Gubernatorial candidate David Crowley, the mayor of Milwaukee, the lieutenant Governor, and multiple democratic party legislators. Governor Evers and the Wisconsin democratic party establishment heard our message loud and clear. ACT NOW TO SHUT DOWN LINE 5. @Governor Evers How can you look your nine grandchildren in the eye and allow this pipeline to be built?

Millions of the most vulnerable families have been kicked off food assistance, including 1.5 million children! Meanwhile, Trump has wasted over 100 BILLION dollars on his useless Epstein distraction war with Iran! While you can't afford food, insurance, gas, or medication, Trump has blown through millions of taxpayer money covering our White House in tacky gold leaf, destroyed the Reflecting Pool, and leveled the East Wing for a $1 BILLION DOLLAR vanity ballroom no one wants! While you're living paycheck to paycheck, Trump and his band of sycophants are decimating checks and balances so they can build their unchecked oligarchy- funneling wealth to the richest few, and decimating every function of the government that helped average Americans!

Another glacial outburst flood in Nepal. Via Nyinchung Dungse Rinpoche. This will devastate Nepal's economy as the tourism industry will surely take a huge hit. I flew into Lukla airport and hiked to Everest base camp almost 20 years ago back when this was a far off problem. The Nepalese people are some of the kindest and warmest people. And have done hardly anything to contribute to this compounding problem due to anthropogenic warming.

This is the Mer de Glace at the bottom of the Vallee Blanche. This is a famous ski line off the Mount Blanc region in Chamonix, France. I first skied this famous descent in 1997 and have personally watched it slowly disappear. This will be the fate of many glaciers in the Alps and all around the world unless we immediately curtail emissions. It is never too late to prevent the worst effects of the climate crisis. 🔥🌍

David Rubenstein is a poorly disguised wolf in sheep's clothing. A man who has done so much to destroy the world through his investments in fossil fuel projects and weapons manufacturers has decided to spend his latter years interviewing baseball celebrities like Cal Ripken. If private equity was a video game filled with Patagonia vest-wearing bros buying your hospital and firing the nurses, David Rubenstein would be the final boss. This titan of industry co-founded the Carlyle Group, which holds approximately $24 BILLION in fossil fuels and has one of the biggest dirty-energy portfolios in all of private equity. In fact, for every $1 Carlyle put into renewables, it also put $16 into oil and gas. Plus, before Rubenstein and Carlyle made billions from oil, they were making billions buying up defense contractors and cashing out on a war that killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. And of course Rubenstein likes to launder all of the above "accomplishments" with his philanthropy. You will find this overachiever's name on the boards of Harvard, the Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian, and many more, all while his firm keeps fracking, drilling, building pipelines, and destroying our future. Well, we are here to rip his Mr. Rogers mask off and expose him for the arch villain that he is. This is the power of direct action: to shine sunlight in dark places. To expose the hypocrisy. David Rubenstein is a criminal of the highest order, and, on this rare night, he was treated as such.

We chucked Schumer's innumerable failures right in his face. When faced with America's latest round of fascism, Schumer has not responded by throwing a punch, or even by merely *doing his job*. Instead this human white flag and 45-year incumbent has been busy perfecting the goosestep. The most powerful Democrat in the United States is not some hapless, hand-wringing bystander to American tyranny — this corrupt careerist is an active and willing participant in it. Funding it. Voting for it. Excusing it. Unacceptable. Politicians like Chuck Schumer are the reason people believe there's a uni-party in the United States. Schumer is the least popular Democratic Senate leader since 1985 — and while our country and planet face existential collapse, he smirks at galas sponsored by Amazon. There is no place in leadership for a man who approves fracked gas pipelines, who is funded by BlackRock and AIPAC, and whose own daughter lobbies state governments on behalf of OpenAI. In this terrifying moment of climate breakdown, we deserve real leaders, not spineless shills. We can and will demand that our leaders fight for us.
