CEO of TikTok Shou Zi Chew: “Senator, I’m Singaporean. No.”

Cotton: “Have you ever been associated or affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party?”

Chew: “No, senator. Again, I’m Singaporean.”

On December 3, the U.S. Army has orders to execute Nidal Hasan, who murdered 13 people in 2009, by a livestreamed firing squad. It will be the first U.S. military execution since 1961, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says it'll be live because "people need to understand that there’s serious consequences."

Just in case there is any ambiguity here, a government that wants an audience for its killings is deeply fucking dangerous. by @theprogressivists

PARIS: High schoolers have been walking out since late September over crumbling schools and not enough teachers. Since end of Sept, 6,629 people have been detained, most of them minors. One teenager lost a hand to a stun grenade.

NEW YORK: An ICE agent shot a dad in the neck with his five-year-old in the back seat. Hundreds of people showed up at the hospital and thus of course so did the NYPD.

SANTIAGO: More than 20,000 people marched against President Kast’s new budget, where security spending is up 9.1% and, students say, their schools get squeezed to pay for it. They were met with water cannons and tear gas.

All those cities sent cops. And nobody went home. by @theprogressivists

On August 14, Bernadette Greene-Placentia — a trucker and the Democratic candidate in Arizona’s 8th District — was fixing one of her campaign signs when she reports two men attacked her: she was hit over the head, knocked out, and r*ped.

So we can add ‘fixing a campaign sign’ to the list of things women were doing when they were r*ped. Right after ‘existing’.

Greene-Placentia says she heard her attacker mumble something like “-ic bitch, not a very good fuck”, which her mind filled in as “Democratic bitch”, though she told the Phoenix New Times she isn’t sure that’s what he said. The second man said “Not even worth it” as he walked away.

As very often happens, Greene-Placentia was embarrassed and didn’t want anyone to know — so she kept quiet. But she’s now gone public because she kept telling voters she’d fight for them, and she says she couldn’t keep saying that without fighting for survivors too.

Just watch the GOP/r*pe apologists now say she is lying. And speaking of the GOP, the man she’s running against is Rep. Abe Hamadeh, who called the r*pe and trafficking charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate “political lawfare”.

THIS. IS. R*PE. CULTURE.

Bernadette Greene-Placentia, we absolutely believe you. And to every person who has never told anyone: we absolutely believe you too.

It’s Cornell. It’s LSU. It’s EVERYWHERE.

P.S. If you have been r*ped or sexually assaulted and need to talk to someone, please consider speaking to RAINN, which runs a free, 24/7 national sexual assault hotline: 800-656-4673, or rainn.org. by @theprogressivists

Cornell and LSU are not just about Jane Doe and Kendall Francis.

They are also about Gaza.
About Nolan Wells.
About the Congo, ICE, Tasia Fortune, MMIW, Sudan, Cancer Alley, Standing Rock, Trey Reed, Haiti.

About Epstein.
About who *always* gets protected, and who *always* gets sacrificed.

And about how long we're going to let them.

All our love to Jane Doe and Kendall. And all our fucking rage to everyone who failed them.

The most ordinary man imaginable telling a woman whose ancestors built the room he’s standing in that she doesn’t “belong in America”. Meanwhile his ancestors were the original “not sending their best” and busy dying of dysentery.

Racism, brought to you by couch guy.

Hey so a 28-year-old lab worker at Russia's plague institute in Siberia died last week. Local reports say she broke a test tube of live plague bacteria and it killed her. But Russia's health officials are saying nope, there was no accident, there is no plague, just a pneumonia they can't explain. Reassuring. Meanwhile nearly 200 people are currently under observation and Russian officials keep deleting their public posts about it all. Doubly reassuring.

Now we are not suggesting anyone panic. At all. It's apparently just one death, there's no confirmed second case, and plague is a bacteria that antibiotics can treat when it's caught early. However, we do have questions for the WH, who say they are "monitoring" this plague scare. Namely, with fucking what? Because these MFs quit the WHO and laid off the people who do said monitoring.

So no, we're not panicking.
And no, we don't think you should.

But also no, we're not just taking their word for it.

And yes, we wish we lived in a country that listened to the WHO and didn't regularly fire scientists for *doing the science*. Although we'd settle for living in one that could keep measles away from kindergartners and one where the salad doesn't come with E. coli.

Anyway, wash your hands! by @theprogressivists

#JusticeForKendall, because we all know this shit was never limited to just Cornell.

Please take the time to listen to Kendall Francis. She says an LSU football player r*ped her. LSU's own Title IX office found him responsible for "forcible r*pe" and suspended him. Then an appeals officer called that punishment "exceedingly harsh", called what he did "an error in judgment", and sent him back to campus on probation.

"An error in judgment."
For forcible r*pe.

FUCK ALL THAT.

Kendall was forced to move her classes online so she wouldn't have to see the man LSU found responsible for r*ping her. He kept his spot on the team until she went public on TikTok. Only then did the DA open an investigation and the coach say he won't play again. He denies it.

Different college, same exact fuckery . . . his future being worth protecting and hers being entirely disposable.

We are sending all our love and support to Kendall. If anyone knows her IG profile please let us know and we will tag her (she is kenndanii on TikTok, FYI).

Please listen to Kendall's story, share her story, and if you're able, monetarily support her and other survivors via the GoFundMe set up for her, linked in our bio.

David Rubenstein is a poorly disguised wolf in sheep's clothing. A man who has done so much to destroy the world through his investments in fossil fuel projects and weapons manufacturers has decided to spend his latter years interviewing baseball celebrities like Cal Ripken.

If private equity was a video game filled with Patagonia vest-wearing bros buying your hospital and firing the nurses, David Rubenstein would be the final boss. This titan of industry co-founded the Carlyle Group, which holds approximately $24 BILLION in fossil fuels and has one of the biggest dirty-energy portfolios in all of private equity. In fact, for every $1 Carlyle put into renewables, it also put $16 into oil and gas. Plus, before Rubenstein and Carlyle made billions from oil, they were making billions buying up defense contractors and cashing out on a war that killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis.

And of course Rubenstein likes to launder all of the above "accomplishments" with his philanthropy. You will find this overachiever's name on the boards of Harvard, the Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian, and many more, all while his firm keeps fracking, drilling, building pipelines, and destroying our future.

Well, we are here to rip his Mr. Rogers mask off and expose him for the arch villain that he is. This is the power of direct action: to shine sunlight in dark places. To expose the hypocrisy. David Rubenstein is a criminal of the highest order, and, on this rare night, he was treated as such. by @theprogressivists
