Serving your purpose isn’t always easy. There are rough days but also many enjoyable days. Working with children is unpredictable! Some days they are on it and other days it’s a struggle. Some children learn at a faster pace than others so I repeat myself OFTEN!

This year I really taught children how to READ and I’m so grateful I accepted the challenge. I set their foundation for the rest of their lives! 💙

We’ve been using our question words to make expanded sentences. This is how I reinforce the different question words and their meaning.

Although they are in kindergarten their sentences don’t have to be basic. Instead of “I like pizza.” —- I like Pizza from Slim & Husky’s”. We make sure that we think of another question we can answer with our original thought.

It’s #womenshistorymonth so it’s only right that students learn about Elizabeth Blackwell who was the first woman doctor in America. I’ve been in the learning seat with my scholars this year. I had no idea and now I won’t forget. 💙
