5 star summer ⭐

Not because it was cute and easy. Because I made it count.

Watched two of my team grow into leadership this season. Launched something new (hi, NBJI 👋). Had fun — real fun — and still showed up for my body and my spirit without dropping either one. Stayed grounded through all of it.

Lil recap
Mid-August, no notes.

In a neighborhood where most windows look directly into someone else’s, this corner unit said absolutely not 🙌

1300 4th St SE, Unit 812 is a 2BR/2BA home offers sleek and modern living and includes a must for the neighborhood - assigned garage parking. This residence boasts an incredible amount of natural light thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows along with views of the river and a historic building of the former US Navy ship yard. No other buildings in the area have a direct view into this unit making it a more private option in the neighborhood.

The Bower is a full-service building whose amenities include a 24-hour concierge, a fitness center, a rooftop terrace, and a resident lounge. It’s perfectly positioned just 1 block from Harris Teeter and 4 blocks from the Navy Yard–Ballpark Metro Station making commuting to downtown DC and beyond a breeze. All other amenities one can wish for are all within blocks if not just across the street, from grocery, workout spaces, high end restaurants, fast casual eateries, coffee shops, and retail shopping.

🧢Anyone who knows me knows I love a good hat — if it’s not a wide brim, it’s a baseball cap.

So what better swag to gift my clients and referral partners than performance hats?

They’ve been spotted everywhere lately — from the gym to Machu Picchu, the beach, client showings, and even casual office days.

I love seeing how you wear them — keep the pics and unboxings coming!

💌 If you don’t have one yet, slide into my DMs — I’ve still got a few ready to ship.

From buyer to seller—full circle on this adorable one-bedroom.

I actually helped this client buy the unit back in my real estate days, so it was extra special to be involved again—this time from the design side. Of course, my forever real estate partner Alison Scimeca of @theraredc is handling the sale, I worked my magic with fresh paint and curated staging, and @derekandvee provided killer photography to get it market-ready.

It’s not every day you can toss raspberry pink chairs into a listing and not get side-eyed—but when you’re teaming up with Alison Scimeca and The RARE, all bets are off. She’s DTF… Down to FUNK. (Calm down. Minds out of the gutter.)

Alison lets me get weird—in the best possible way. So for this adorable little one-bedroom, we went all in: a splash of paint, a hit of funk, and photography that snaps. We didn’t just want it to stand out—we wanted buyers to stop scrolling, do a double take, and maybe drool a little.

Because let’s be honest: “cute” should never mean “forgettable.”

This unforgettable one bedroom is marketed by Alison Scimeca of The RARE DC.

NCAA Affinity Group Feature!
61 W St NW, Washington, DC
4 BD | 2.5 BA | 2,416 SF | $1,175,000

This week’s Out of Town Spotlight features a timeless beauty that effortlessly blends historic charm with modern updates. I was lucky enough to meet Alison @theraredc —at our NCAA Affinity Group event during the Denver retreat and we’ve been sharing texts and calls ever since! I’m excited to spotlight this exceptional home and recommend an experienced and energetic agent in the DC area. If you or one of your family members or friends is looking to buy or sell, let me know, and I’ll set up an intro!

Located on one of the most desirable blocks in Bloomingdale, this south-facing residence is filled with natural light and rich original details—from gleaming hardwood floors and classic millwork to vintage-inspired lighting.
Thoughtful upgrades include $50K in expert brick repointing and a new A/C system (2023). Owned solar panels (a $30K value) keep annual electric bills under $100!—an incredible asset for urban living.

Spanning three finished levels, the home offers flexibility and income potential. The lower level includes its own kitchen, living area, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry—ideal for a short-term rental or in-law suite, with an average income of $2,000/month.

Outdoor perks include a private backyard with both enclosed and open-air spaces, plus dedicated parking in the rear—an urban luxury in its own right.

Just steps from local cafés, parks, and a vibrant neighborhood scene, this home embodies classic DC living with long-term value.

This project was personal.

I sold this condo to the seller many moons ago back when I was still doing real estate full time. So when she decided to list it, I knew it had to be a full-circle moment. I called my longtime friend + business partner, Alison Scimeca of @theraredc, to list it… and obviously, I got to stage it. 😉

But when I heard they were repainting and updating the space, I couldn’t help myself—I had to insert myself. And I’m so glad I did. When I can help shape the vision from the beginning, the final result isn’t just beautiful—it’s cohesive, intentional, and every room speaks to the next.

This is the kind of collaboration I live for. And the best part? I get to share it all with you.

Want the full list of paints + finishes we used? Comment PAINT below and I’ll send it your way! 🎨
