What an incredible week.
Feeling so so lucky to shape @sldesignweek each year.
It keeps just getting better and better because of our incredible community!

So many times this week people said the energy felt different. More alive and connected. I felt it too ✨

Counting down the days until next year. If you want to be involved HMU. The team this year was stellar, but we can always use more volunteers.

DAHLIA DAYCAMP 2026!

It's difficult for me to express what this weekend means to me, how precious it is, and how every year it gets better!

Stephen @mountainmanflowers grew the most spectacular flowers for us. Stunningly beautiful dahlias, lisianthus, sunflowers, stattice, roses, delphinium, snapdragons, lavender and scabiosa. And pumpkins!

Jessica @bloomflowergarden
taught us about growing and storing dahlias.

My dear friend Amber @aespanet cooked the most delicious food for the group. Everyone raved!

I am grateful for these excellent humans who come together to spend time enjoying flowers, nature, and time getting to know one another.

Connection and creativity are what it's all about!

Had an amazing time at another fashion show with my favorite crew and my favorite designer. We couldn’t have asked for a better night. We looked amazing, felt stunning, and received so much love from everyone. Huge shoutout to @codijochebonarts — one of the best designers in the game.

Angela H. Brown is the Publisher of SLUG Magazine, Salt Lake’s longest-running independent publication, and the Founder and Executive Director of Craft Lake City, Utah’s leading nonprofit celebrating local makers and creative culture. Over 35 years, she has built platforms for thousands of artists, makers and independent voices across Utah, with a particular commitment to elevating women and underrepresented creatives who deserve a seat at the table. Angela is a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses graduate, recipient of the Josephine Zimmerman Pioneer in Journalism Award, the 2024 Mayor’s Artist Award and the 2026 Downtown Alliance Creator Cultural Icon Award.

She is an icon in Salt Lake City’s art scene and we cannot wait to hear from her to close out the week!

Her presentation will be right after our Designing The New World panel in the same venue on October 9th so make sure you’re ON TIME!!

We will start right at 7:30 🔥
