A little introduction to my 2022 calendar. I called it ‘life in each season’ this year, inspired by a Thoreau quote. For me it spoke to soaking in each season - both what’s happening through the months in the weather, plants and wildlife, but also inside ourselves and our personal lives, whether we may be in a joyful/exciting/sad/scary/challenging/quiet ‘season’. Or, as is often the case, a combination. The bittersweet.

This calendar allows you to mark and remember each day if you would like, and draw on the natural world for inspiration and comfort.

Last year I found seeing the moon at night really comforting particularly in the winter. I worked a couple of night shifts and I was processing some difficult things and it felt like the moon was accompanying me on my journey. Ever present.

The moon phases are in the calendar. And maybe you’ll be drawn to something else for comfort or something you want to learn more about.

1month of being parents today! Wow. What an incredible life shift...

World upside down, messy house, quick easy dinners, all nighters, cold tea, many nappies, poos, wet clothes, so much laundry, midnight snacks, tears, laughter, calm, stress, muslin cloths everywhere yet nowhere to be found, learning so much and continually thinking we have no idea what we're doing but loving every minute with this precious girl.

We are thrilled to have had one month already with our beautiful little daughter Leyla Annabel Davis, born October 24th at 3.05pm weighing 8lb 9. We are so excited to get to know her and love her more!

Apart from being super busy just trying to survive and keep Leyla alive and happy we've not managed to share the news with everyone till now - bit slow! We also have chosen to not post her whole life on social media so since this is my account as Cat Davis I may post about being pregnant and being a Mum but I'll not be sharing too much of Leyla while she has no say in it and while Facebook own all the pictures. If you want to see more of her we can share privately or see you in person!! ☺️

We're exhausted and in love at the same time. We're forever changed. From Mummy and Papa 🥰
