Spent four days in Chicago with Shelby for our annual girls’ trip and it’s safe to say we will both be back soon.

I may have already started looking at flights for this fall.

Super #latergram📸 from the #juneteenth trip with @ransom.finn to Chicago! It was my first time flying with Ransom and we had a great trip! Saw lots of tourist-stuff, ate lots of yummy food, saw @panicshack at @cobralounge (the band AND venue were incredible in every way) and got a chance to hangout with a couple friends! @vinyls_is_not_a_word drove from Indiana to take me record shopping while Ransom enjoyed @brickworld! Had a tasty dinner with @ocrecs for our first time meeting in-person, even though we've been interwebz-friends for years! Didn't get to see as many friends as I hoped... so next time!
Aside from missing our flight outta Richmond, the rest of the trip was top-notch! Can't wait to see what Ransom picks for our trip next year!?! #brownsinvadechitown

💫 Save this for your next Chicago trip! 🇺🇸 No fashion, just travel inspo 😊

Embarking on a trip back to the US to catch up with family and friends with a pit stop in the city of Chicago, and it stole our hearts.

Think golden sunsets over Lake Michigan, iconic ball games, some of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at, neighbourhoods packed with vintage stores and enough history to fill a weekend (or three).

Here’s what we did:

📍The Must-dos for first timers

Sunset on the lake
Margaritas on @navypierchicago
Architectural Boat Tour with @wendellaboats
Selfies at @therealchicagobean
Live music at @millennium_park
Gangster and food walking tour with @getyourguide

📍 Where to eat

Deep Dish Pizza at @pizzeria.due
Chicago dog at Mister J’s
Seriously good Mediterranean dishes at @abarestaurant in Fulton Market
Brunch at @caferobey (as recommended by @zoe.cadman)
Cookies at @insomniacookies

📍 Where to Shop

Gold Coast - luxe and high street
Wicker Park - thrift and cool boutique

🍻 Notable mention - the beer at @lottiespub in Bucktown

And finally, celebrating a @cubs win at @officialwrigleyfield

Next stop… KANSAS!

📍Save this for your Chicago itinerary.

On my way back from Las Vegas, I had a 5-hour layover in Chicago... and there was no way I was going to spend it sitting at the airport! 😄

I grabbed a @chicagocta subway day pass for only $6, giving me unlimited rides for 24 hours. Honestly, what a deal! The Blue Line takes you straight from O’Hare Airport to downtown Chicago in about 40 minutes. Easy, cheap, and way better than staring at airport walls.

Even though it was early spring and a little chilly, the quick adventure was totally worth it.

I got to see the famous Bean (Cloud Gate, @therealchicagobean), walk along the Chicago River, and soak in the incredible architecture and energy of the city.

Of course, 5 hours was nowhere near enough. I had to head back to the airport wishing I had more time to explore.

Chicago, you gave me just a little taste... but I'll definitely be back! 🌆
