POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Yesterday, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Food Policy Council team took a break from policy work and spent time reconnecting with one another.

We enjoyed a staff retreat at The Plant House in Charlotte, where we created our own terrariums and worked together to build one as a team. It was a fun opportunity to strengthen relationships, spark creativity, and enjoy each other’s company outside of our usual work.

Here’s what nobody tells you when you start looking for a home…

Anybody can just find a realtor

But you need to find a realtor who knows strategy, does the research, and truly cares about you and your goals. Finding the right realtor makes finding the right home an enjoyable experience.

If you want to be the first to find out about the next first-time home buyers clinic, or if you’re ready to start your journey to homeownership, send me a direct message!

💚Grateful Hearts, Purposeful Connections💚

This year, I’ve been blown away by the hard work, passion, and dedication of ZEN’s Leadership Team. Every single person brings such unique and powerful qualities to this nonprofit, and I couldn’t let the year end without celebrating them.

To show my appreciation, I hosted a special Friendsgiving for my team—an evening filled with good food, good drinks, and even better vibes. We laughed, shared, and truly connected, getting to know one another on a deeper level. Moments like these remind me why we do what we do.

I THANK GOD for how he has strategically placed each of you in my life at just the right time to help fulfill the purpose over my life. This journey wouldn’t be the same without your love, support, and dedication to our mission of GROWING WITH PURPOSE.

I am GRATEFUL and THANKFUL for you all💚🫶🏽

2025 will be a GREAT year🙏🏽🤞🏽💪🏾🙌🏽

🌈 Taste The Rainbow Recap! 🌈

This past Saturday, Mallard Creek STEM Academy was buzzing with excitement at our Taste The Rainbow event! Students and families experienced firsthand the importance of a rainbow diet, learning that each color in fruits and vegetables brings unique health benefits to fuel our bodies. From the heart health benefits in the color red to the immune boosting property of the color yellow, each color does something special!

A huge THANK YOU to @foodlion and @freshlistclt for their generous food donations, which allowed us to prepare delicious, colorful dishes and share the experience with our community. Your support was essential to making this day both delicious and educational!

A special shout-out to our incredible Food 101 chairs, Chasidie and Cinya, for their creativity and dedication in bringing Taste The Rainbow to life. Your vision turned this event into a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved. Thank you both for all the hard work, passion, and detail you poured into making this celebration such a success!

Another shout out to our volunteers. We couldn't have done it without you all. Thank you for your hard work in making this event so special! Here’s to sparking curiosity, inspiring healthy choices, and helping young minds connect with the joy of fresh food!

💚Food1 101💚

Today, we ended on a high note with a visit to @matthewsfarmersmarket 😊 Our participants had a fantastic time learning the history of the market, enjoying guided tours, and tasting some of the freshest vegetables available.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for these tours. This collaboration with @cltfoodpolicy was designed to highlight the benefits of our local farmers' markets, and I believe we achieved that and more.

Special shoutout to @therealcinsations for being a true gem and leading each of these tours with passion and dedication.

We can't wait to continue "GROWING WITH PURPOSE" and look forward to next year's Farmer's Market Tours 🙌🏽💪🏾🙏🏽💚
