BEST FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH My favorite fried chicken sandwich!! I've been waiting for a long time for this to popup again. @butchsandwiches Butch Sandwiches is not a store front. A Brooklyn sandwich speakeasy from a brownstone started during the pandemic as a weekly sandwich drop took a break and now back. Hands down some of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Perfect cook perfect crisp perfect brine and that biscuit! Its gluten free..no way you can tell it is! So good! We also picked up a Reuben which was just ridiculous! A professionaly trained home chef and her partner do periodic sandwich drops. Keep an eye on their IG page for the next one in mid April. Fried Chicken: buttermilk brine on a gluten free sour cream biscuit, butch slaw, tomato and eddies spicy pickels Reuben. Brined corned beef for 10 days finished in a beer bath and spices. Topped with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut house made russian dressing on a griddled rye. Can't remember the last time when I had a Ruben this good. BURGERS IN QUEENS, DAY 3 Nothing like a juicy burger that makes you want to talk to yourself. Welcome to my series on burgers in Queens. Donovans 📍57-24 Roosevelt Ave, Woodside, Queens @donovanswoodside The spot is super cool. They've maintained the vintage charn all these years. A bar and 4 dining rooms. Gotta say the staff were super nice from the minute we walked in. Neighborhood spot with a lot of locals hanging aorund watching the game They have 20 burger options. JUST 20 We had the classic cheese burger and The Jack with sauteed onions, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo. It's a 8 oz pattie made with a blend of 3 different cuts and cooked in a salamander The cheese is melted on both sides of the bun and not on the meat It's a solid burger with old school flavors. We had it with potato wedges, onion rings and a side of wings Check out Donovans for a great neighborhood spot with classic old school vibe. Big thank you to our server Sarah . NEW COCKTAIL SPOTS DAY 3 AYCE and BEER for $32 All you can eat fried chicken and beer for $32 bucks! And great cocktails. Sign me up! I randomly found this spot last week..I noticed their art deco Japanese resto and walked in to find the hidden Korean spot. Great menu of food and cocktails were on point. The AYCE is only Sunday to Thursday with a 90 minute seating. Boka @bokanyc 📍103 2nd Ave, Manhattan They were on St.Marks for a long time and moved here 2 months back. My favorite cocktail was the Seoul twilight with the lychee flavors. They have a variety of cocktails including soju based cocktails Their fried chicken was insanely good! Crsipy ,sticky and addictive and the L A Galbi was perfect. Go slide that back door open and check out the speak easy style Boka for cocktails and all you can eat fried chicken and beer for $32 bucks which is a really great deal. Let me know if you go.
