#Throwback Before Adonis Eats, there was Nytebreed Entertainment. 💯

The foundation of “Adonis Eats” has always been relational—building real trust, real connections, and relationships that last. And when I look around today, a lot of the community folks I’m building with are the SAME people I was building with more than 20 years ago.

Back in the early 2000s, my brother @omgreallyjp and I founded Nytebreed Entertainment, an SF-based nightclub promotion group. For about three years, we went HARD. 😂 Then my now-wife got pregnant with our first child, life got real, and Nytebreed disappeared almost as fast as we popped up. 💨

But if you were outside back then… you might remember. 😎 We had some of the most crackin’ BAY AREA Hip-Hop parties at the time. 🔥

What I’m especially proud of, though, was WHO was in the room with us.

Back then, a lot of the Bay Area party scene was separated by community. Filipino promoters threw Filipino parties. Latino promoters had their crowds. Black promoters had theirs.

Nytebreed was part of a generation of promoters that intentionally crossed those lines. We purposely collaborated with people outside our own circles because we wanted EVERYBODY in the buildin’.

More than 20 years later, I’m still following that same blueprint with “Adonis Eats”. Food instead of flyers. Restaurants instead of clubs. But the energy is exactly the same—I’m just a lot older now. 😂 I’m intentionally building relationships, bringing different communities together, and highlighting OUR growth together.

To me, THAT is Bay Area culture. 💯 Different cultures. Different communities. And constant collaboration. ⚔️

Swipe thru these photos—it’s proof that “Adonis Eats” did NOT start 2023.✨🔥

If you were there leave a comment below, send this to your old school party crew, and save these receipts. ✨

Big shoutout to @lahrock for collaborating with us on this party to celebrate her birthday—and for bringing out The Jacka (RIP) and, at the last minute, Dre Dog to perform. 🔥 And of course our high school homies Lost Souls. 💫

I would like to extend my deepest respect and gratitude to the Filipino community around the world, especially the Filipino community on the West Coast, for the incredible role you have played in preserving and advancing hip-hop culture.

At a time when I was already deeply involved in breaking, I began hearing about a powerful movement taking place in San Jose. People kept telling me that breaking was experiencing a major resurgence in Northern California, so I decided to make the trip to witness it for myself.

When I arrived, I was truly inspired. Everything I had heard was true. The culture was thriving. Graffiti artists, DJs, MCs, and B-boys and B-girls were all representing hip-hop with an extraordinary level of passion, creativity, and authenticity. It was a powerful reminder of what this culture is all about.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank the Filipino community for your commitment to keeping hip-hop alive and helping inspire a new generation. Your dedication made a lasting impact, not only on the West Coast but throughout the breaking community.

It was also a tremendous honor to spend time in Southern California and become part of an all-Filipino crew, Lunacy Tribe. The love, unity, and respect that I experienced will always be something I cherish.

Thank you for your contributions, your passion, and your unwavering commitment to the culture. Your legacy continues to inspire dancers around the world.

Peace. Each One, Reach One.
