🎥 Vintage Footage [Trailer]
Featuring Invisibl Skratch Piklz
@therealdjapollo @mixmastermike @djqbert — formerly known as the Shadow DJs of FM2O (Furious Minds 2 Observe).

✨ Special Guest Appearances: P-Kid, Fideo, B-Spliff - 3 members of the legendary Knuckle Neck Tribe — the B-Boy crew that dominated the early ’90s dance scene and helped usher in the re-emergence of breakdancing in Hip Hop culture.

🔥 With the blessing of B-Boy icon @crazylegsbx, they went on to form the first West Coast Rock Steady Crew Chapter, while @ispiklz simultaneously founded the first West Coast Rock Steady DJs.

📅 This event took place June 7, 1992 @ DNA Lounge, San Francisco. The #BombHipHopParty by @dj_davepaul brought the heat with House of Pain headlining the night, joined by surprise guest B-Real of Cypress Hill, who rocked the stage with platinum smash hit "Jump Around", alongside unforgettable lineup of guest DJs and Artists.

📺 This is where it all began — our very first TV appearance!

Vintage footage from the early days of Invisibl Skratch Piklz.

Home Turf | Hosted by @diprimaradio
Featuring the world’s first DJ band: @djqbert, @mixmastermike & @therealdjapollo (1992) 🎛️ [Trailer]

✨ In this episode:

The very first DJ band — Q-Bert, Mix Master Mike & Apollo — originally known as The Shadow DJs of FM2O (Furious Minds 2 Observe), alongside MCs FMD (Furious Mind Destructionist) and H2O. Beats were produced by Apollo & Mix Master Mike, with Q-Bert on scratches.

Knuckle Neck Tribe (KNT) — the legendary B-Boy crew dancing for FM2O, who later became the first West Coast Rock Steady Crew Chapter in Northern Cali. At the same time, ISP founded the first Rock Steady DJs (West Coast Chapter).

The DJs rebranded as Rock Steady DJs during the ’92 DMC World Finals in London → later becoming the iconic Invisibl Skratch Piklz.

Knuckle Neck Tribe went on to form rap group KNT and dropped underground smash hit, “Come See Us” featuring San Quinn of the Done Deal Family (Fillmore SF).

🎶 About Home Turf (1984–1992, KRON-TV):
The Bay Area’s premier youth news magazine spotlighted hip-hop, breakdancing, skateboarding, graffiti art, and politics. Hosted by Dominique DiPrima, the award-winning series celebrated urban culture in a positive light.

🙏 Tribute to the First Daly City Hip Hop Hall of Fame Inductee (2024)
DJ Swift Rock | Brian Lucas (12/5/78 – 8/10/15)

Slide 1:
Not even a thousand words can capture this photo, but I’ll try. I believe, through the Almighty, it found its way back to me — I thought it was lost forever.

📸 Taken by @itslikecandy1 on Nov. 1, 2010, the night our SF Giants won the World Series (their first in 52 years!). Beyond DJing, Brian and I shared the love of sports and the joy of being die-hard fans.

This photo is beautiful — full of joy, but bittersweet. For me, as a young DJ, and for any aspiring DJs and Artists, the journey starts out fun and exciting, as it should, but when life’s pitfalls and industry struggles hit — mental health, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, or social struggles etc — please, seek help. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to reach out. These struggles are real in our streets everywhere.

Take it from me, quite frankly, I’ve been there and back. But by God’s grace I sought help, and now I’m forever thankful and blessed to still be DJing and living Hip Hop. You can do it too. 🙏💯

Slide 2:
📌 The Daly City Hip Hop Hall of Fame Plaque — speaks for itself, proud and honored to be one of only two names on there so far, with many more to come.

Slide 3:
When B passed, I dropped a Swift Rock Tribute Mix live on HOT 105.7. That recording is lost, but I found and attached something rare: an unreleased house track produced by Swift Rock hidden in my Serato. 🔥

Slide 4:
🎛️ Swift Rock | Battle Set | 1998 DMC USA West Coast Finals
He crushed this set — but came in 2nd place to big bro Shortkut. What can you say? Legendary.

🙏 Miss you, B.
God Bless,
– P
