Whew how do I even start? 2025 was one heck of a ride, but I’m grateful for each and every experience and person I gained this year. I’ve met and connected with so many people this year and truly flourished into a young woman this year. 2025 challenged me spiritually, emotionally, physically, honestly anything you could think of, but what didn’t kill me made me stronger… literally 🤣 I put myself out there, beat the odds, did numbers, and remained humble through it all. thank you to my friends, mentors, the people I’ve had short convos with,the ones that supported me,GOD, literally everyone! You made this year exactly how Sabrina described, Short N’ (bitter🤣)Sweet💋 and like her song 15 minutes said, “ when our times up baby, I’ll leak some pictures maybe”… Enjoy🫶🏻❤️

Splice Pearls - I am the splice. The line where two worlds collided:

The rough, woven comfort and the soft, printed truth.

The flannel’s history meant I was meant to be hidden,

The tee’s bright message a testament to youth.

They thought the plaid meant I was ready for labor,

A garment for work, for keeping the cold off the bone.

Now I’m cropped sharp, revealing the brave, bare anchor,

A confident contrast I boldly own.

And see the pearls? They aren’t an apology.

They are the punctuation of my wicked wit.

They shine on the canvas, a bright analogy:

You can be gritty and gorgeous, you can own all of it.

The first side was simple utility. The second is style.

I am the garment that perfected the high-low art.

I wear my own history, and I wear it with a smile.

I am the cunning union of the mind and the heart.

Pearl Skirt - I was a trouser. Formal, straight, and bound tight,

My only purpose to walk the straight, narrow way.

They measured my inseam, they guarded my light,

I was discipline cut in a practical grey.

Now I’m unzipped, re-pleated, and set for the stage.

The fabric released into a dangerous flow.

A short, sharp statement that turns a new page,

The sudden, undeniable strength of the show.

The pearls are my victory—a classic disruption.

A smooth, hard shine on a skirt that spins free.

I am not sweet, I am simply seduction,

A reminder that grace can demand to be seen.

The two sides are distance and dazzling proximity.

The history of structure, the future of play.

I took the rulebook, tore out all the complexity,

And made a garment that owns its own way.

Had the pleasure of returning to The Bluff as an alumna of the Fashion Merchandising, Design & Textiles Program — this time as a featured designer for the 2nd Annual SU Spring Fashion Show: La Mode — Paris in Springtime.

Handmade looks, bold details, and a lineup of the flyest models to bring it all to life.

With a rich background in modeling, Journee began her journey at the age of 7, excelling in photoshoot modeling for eight years and later captivating audiences on the runway during her high school career.
