“No Perfect Choice” is an older song of mine. During the recording sessions for Never Learned the Tide, I planned to record it with the full band, but it didn’t feel quite right in the studio. Here’s a little bit about the recording process and what happened instead. Give the final version a listen at the link in bio.

🥂Sparrow Smith & the Resonant Rogues is a powerhouse collaboration of Sparrow and Keith Josiah Smith. Planted in the fertile soll of Southern Appalachia, the music grows from a wide variety of folk seeds- from string band music to vintage country to 60s psych-folk.
Visceral songwriting is carried by harmony vocals, Sparrow's banjo and accordion, and Keith's guitar. Often accompanied by fiddle and upright bass.
Like the afternoon sun on your face in springtime, these songs will warm you to the core and remind you of why life is astoundingly beautiful and dancing is necessary.
