It’s been one of my greatest delights this year working on @mcrfinests own @openfirediningclub series alongside @scottforrest17 ✨pulling together an outdoor dining experience of this scale every month is no mean feat, and wouldn’t be possible without @therealtartuffe, @tommysbars as well as the incredible chefs, collaborators and FOH team that made this season so special !!!

If everyone could stop asking me to shuck oysters even just for a week or so please. Bloody Mary @carlingfordoysters from @midlandfishco for the launch of the amazing new @redlightmcr site. They’ve smashed it. Big up @bug_beswick for all the mad and amazing and obscure varieties of produce as always. “Hot Lips” flowers were a favourite. @therealtartuffe

Darna - دارنا - means “our home” in Arabic 🇵🇸

And that’s the spirit behind this one; our second Palestinian supper club.

For one evening, we’re taking over Leo & Roobs and turning it into a Palestinian table - warm, generous, welcoming and full of life.

Expect long communal tables, a beautiful spread of Arabic mezze, a slow-cooked traditional main and a Levantine-inspired sweet to finish.

We’ll be working with a Palestinian chef and the team behind @gladstonebarberandbistro and @therealtartuffe to bring this one to life, so it’s a special one.

And, because food should do more than fill a table, profits from ticket sales will be donated to Eat Well Manchester and Reviving Gaza Mutual Aid.

Come hungry.

After an amazing two years, Tartuffe's residency at Side Street has come to an end.
A huge thank you to the whole Tartuffe team for everything they’ve brought to Side Street. We’re going to miss them all.

As for what’s next for our kitchen, we’ll have more to share very soon…

The Supper Club you need to know about @openfirediningclub @mcrfinest @therealtartuffe 🍽️ If you love food, the outdoors, and meeting new people this one is for you. Open Fire Dining Club is a flame-led supper club bringing together some of the most exciting kitchens to the outdoors of the beautiful Torr Vale Mill.

We managed to get to their August supper club in collaboration with Pho Cue and it was a gorgeous evening of amazing food, drink and company. This supper club series runs from April - September, making this coming weekend their season finale, with only a few tickets left for grabs. Although don’t worry if you didn’t manage to get to one this season, just keep an eye out for their return next year.

In another loss for Manchester’s food scene, @therealtartuffe has sadly announced its closure at @sidestreetmcr after two years of serving the sexiest chicken in the city. ⁠

We can’t wait to see ‘Tartuffe part 2’ take shape, but for now their last service will take place tomorrow Friday 25 September. ⁠

Last month's @openfirediningclub saw @phocuekitchen join @therealtartuffe for a Vietnamese menu that took the format somewhere completely different - from lobster congee and a small pour of pho, to shakin’ beef and fried rice over the @biggreenegguk, whole Cumbrian chickens hung over the coals and Hanoi coffee to finish, whilst @campariofficial took care of the drinks.

Next weekend we’re on to a very special finale, closing the season with an all-star service.

On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September, @akin.club, @kallosmcr and Julian Pizer of @portfolio.mcr join Tartuffe for an eight-course closing menu that showcases four very different parts of Manchester’s food scene.

Tickets are still available across the weekend, but Saturday is almost sold out.
