Time is a pretty wild concept. Seeing these girls grow up has been amazing and knowing I get to meet another one soon and watch her grow makes all of these photos even more meaningful. It goes too quickly and I love being the one who gets to help stop time, even for just a moment so you can come back to all of your favourite memories

She shaved her head two and a half years ago.

And this appointment wasn’t about some huge dramatic transformation. It felt a lot quieter than that.

It was more like sitting back down with a version of yourself you haven’t met in a while.

We talked, we checked in, we looked at where her hair is now and where she wants to go next. Nothing forced. Nothing overdone. Just a real moment in the chair after a really big choice she made a couple of years ago.

I think hair can hold so much. Identity, emotion, freedom, grief, change. Sometimes cutting it all off is loud and powerful. And sometimes growing it back is its own kind of experience too.

This felt like that.

Not a before and after kind of post. Just a small, meaningful shift. A little softness. A little shape. A little reconnecting.

Sometimes that’s what the appointment is really about.
