“Today, an artist is measured in likes. Not in depth. Not in practice. Not in truth.” @69db_liveset reflects on what it means to be an artist in a time where visibility replaces substance and algorithms define value. But real art was never about popularity. It was about Practice. Discipline. Connection. Flow. So when did being an artist become about likes instead of practice? Are we supporting real artists...or just feeding the algorithm? This conversation continues this Wednesday at Off The Decks, the new interview series of Unmasked and @_dance.culture_. An open conversation with London dj rave legend @dj_chris_liberator open to the public. Another moment to connect, reflect, and dive deeper into rave culture and the techno underground. And this reel is an excerpt from an exclusive interview by Unmasked, in collaboration with Dance Culture. A raw and honest moment with 69DB, founding member of the legendary Spiral Tribe (@sp23official). 🏴‍☠️ Production: @madtronik_ (Unmasked) Moderator: @be.a.you.to.full (Dance Culture) Camera/Editing: @therecordingrat Full interview on YouTube: 69db (Spiral Tribe) — The Raw Truth About Free Rave Culture | UNMASKED and Dance Culture Interview Special thanks: @krispanik_ @distillery.n17 Everyone supporting underground culture. #spiraltribe #raveculture #freeparty #69db

“Artists can boycott, but only if the public boycotts too. Otherwise, we just get replaced.” @69db_liveset speaks openly about power, responsibility and the illusion of choice. The system doesn’t run because of artists, it runs because of the public. If people pull out, the machine stops. If people support the underground, we build something different. This isn’t about trends or pop stars. It’s about community, responsibility, and choosing where your energy and money go. Don’t feed the machine. Support the independents. Build the space together. Where do you think the real power sits, with the artists or with the public? Exclusive interview produced by @unmasked_london, in collaboration with @_dance.culture_. An intimate, raw and honest moment with 69db, one of the symbols of free rave culture and founding members of the legendary Spiral Tribe sound system (@sp23official) 🏴‍☠️ Production: @madtronik_ (Unmasked) Moderator: @be.a.you.to.full (Dance Culture) Camera/Editing: @therecordingrat Full interview on YouTube: 69db (Spiral Tribe) — The Raw Truth About Free Rave Culture | UNMASKED and Dance Culture Interview Special thanks: @krispanik_ @distillery.n17 Everyone supporting underground culture. #unmasked #spiraltribe #freeparty #londonrave #danceculture

The myth of ‘free’ comes with a price no one wants to name. @69db_liveset says it without filters: musicians, DJs, artists, technicians… they’re the ones who paid. And today there’s only one real question: what do you put into the circle? Love, money, ecstasy, ego… or community? What value do you truly give to the underground? Exclusive interview produced by @unmasked_london, in collaboration with @_dance.culture_, on the day of the Unmasked 10th Anniversary event. An intimate, raw and honest moment with 69db, one of the symbols of free rave culture and founding members of the legendary Spiral Tribe sound system (@sp23official) 🏴‍☠️ Camera/Editing: @therecordingrat Moderator: @be.a.you.to.full (Dance Culture) Production: @madtronik_ (Unmasked) Full interview on YouTube: 69db (Spiral Tribe) — The Raw Truth About Free Rave Culture | UNMASKED and Dance Culture Interview Special thanks: @krispanik_ Everyone supporting underground culture. #unmasked #spiraltribe #freeparty #londontechno #uktechno #ukrave #londonrave #technointerview #ravehistory #soundsystemculture #raveculture #90srave #undergroundculture #69db #danceculture

What a weekend, 24hr of basslines, broken sleep and bodies in motion! 🔥 Big love to all the crew who showed up and turned Spiral Tribe (@sp23official) returns into pure chaos and energy. From the warehouse floor to the afterparty, the pulse never stopped beating 🖤 Massive respect to @69db_liveset, @ixindamix & MC Scallywag for bringing the spirit back to London all together after decades, to all the performers who transformed the space into a living rave. Special thanks to everyone who joined the open discussion, sharing ideas, memories and visions for the future — proving once again that this culture is more than music, it’s community. The full discussion will be published soon. This wasn’t just a party, it was also the 10th Anniversary of Unmasked — a decade of resistance, rhythm and unity. You made it a celebration to remember. And we’re not stopping here… on 18th October we return with a 15-hour non-stop warehouse journey at @distillery.n17, hosting the UK debut of @mathyslenne__ 🌀 The movement carries on — see you on the dancefloor.

We love that London thing. From its streets to its studios to its clubs, it’s a city that never stops creating. It shapes genres, sparks movements, builds community, and launches careers.
