I encourage my students to try drawing things they have never attempted before. In response, several years ago a student told me to draw Sean Connery brandishing a rubber chicken while riding a dragon.
Sketchbook drawing- ink pen and Copic marker on 11” x 8 1/2” paper.

Commiss. of Gaynor the Damned from M. Moorcock’s universe, the fallen knight cursed with immortality ⚔️ I had such a great time painting him, this hairstyle is absolutely my favorite after long hair 🫠
Thank you so much Daniel for your trust!

…I’m building a story around an ever-frozen realm: a world born from desolation and eternal ice, echoing the haunted vastness of Antarctica and the drowned memory of Atlantis... tbc

I was born in winter, when it was -15°, and that cold has never left me. The further, the better, straight to the bottom of the world.

In Irish myths, there is an otherworldly mist called féth fíada, which members of the Tuatha Dé Danann use to enshroud themselves, rendering their presence invisible to human eyesight. Many of them are thought to represent deities of pre-Christian Gaelic Ireland.
Also inspired by the Wild Hunt.
Nearly every day of October began and ended with opaque veils of fog settling in the open fields and dripping from tree branches. Thus the month of Samhain proclaimed itself in mysterious whispers…
