📣FILM CAST CALL OUT 🎬

We’re seeking 15 local men aged 18–65 from the Limestone Coast South Australia to be part of “Crucible”, my new video work that continues on from the acclaimed “Witness” (2022)

About the work:
“Performed faith oscillates between surrender and resistance as Ida is consumed by hands and reverie. As the ritual intensifies, devotion becomes entanglement, exposing the insidious power of vain hope.”

📍 Tantanoola Town Hall
🗓 Late January 2027 (dates confirmed soon)
Day 1: afternoon rehearsal · Day 2: afternoon/evening shoot
💰 Paid: $300 rehearsal + $600 shoot (flat fee, incl. GST). Catering and costume provided.

No experience needed. The choreography is simple and filming takes under 30 minutes.

Your name will appear in the credits of a significant new work premiering at the Riddoch Arts and Cultural Centre on 19 February 2027, before exhibiting nationally and internationally. This work has been supported by the City of Mount Gambier Creative Arts Fund @cityofmountgambier

Kumarangk is currently on display at the Riddoch until 8 November 2026.

Kumarangk is an honouring of the resistance work of the Ngarrindjeri women protesters, who organised and acted against the building of the bridge from Goolwa to Hindmarsh Island. Over 10 years the women faced an onslaught of attacks from within the media and politics for speaking truth on culture and Country. This exhibition demonstrates the ongoing love, fight and cultural inheritance within Ngarrindjeri women’s circles.

On my whirlwind clay workshop tour of Mount Gambier last week I was able to drop by @theriddoch and deliver this cute cluster of pieces to top up their beautiful gift shop collection.

Sunny Daisy and her gaggle of mates can be found front center on display. If you’re visiting the Limestone Coast and surrounds, don’t miss the gallery and the great new exhibitions that just opened!

Can’t wait to return to @theapplefarm_ soon to teach more clay workshops! Thank you for having me again!

On our 2-week road trip we stopped at @theriddoch Arts & Cultural Centre in Mt Gambier. They had these little portrait stations set up... a prime activity for my husband & me obviously. I think we all know why I don't paint faces 😅 #sketchart #portrait #coupleportrait

Presenting the best of Australian contemporary art across the country provides regional audiences with more than just an opportunity to see and experience the art itself. Supporting exhibitions with talks, performances and workshops offers knowledge transfer, skill development, and professional capacity building.

For ‘Between Waves’ visit to the Riddoch Arts and Cultural Centre in Mt Gambier, for example, artist Cassie Sullivan delivered a print workshop with John Robinson (of Moving Creature Studio) – offering direct insight from an exhibiting artist and print specialist. Some really terrific artwork was produced in a supportive learning environment, encouraging experimentation and creative responses to our world.

‘Between Waves’  is an exhibition developed by the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) touring nationally with NETS Victoria, curated by Jessica Clark.
This project has been supported by Creative Victoria through the Yalingwa Visual Arts Initiative and the NETS Victoria Exhibition Development Fund; and the Australian Government’s Visions of Australia program.

I 🩷'ed running my DIY Souvenir Tea Towel workshop at @theriddoch inspired by icons of the @limestonecoast using collage, cut 'n' paste and tracing techniques (keeping things proudly 'analogue' 🤘). Thanks to the good peeps of Mount Gambier who took part in the workshop and re-created their favourite symbols and memories from the region! 🎨❤️🔥
