When a recipe calls for matcha, it matters which one you use depending on your preference and what you’re looking for! These two matcha icebox cakes use the same ingredients EXCEPT different matcha. This makes a huge difference with their flavour profiles making it the most important ingredient to consider in this recipe. If you want to try different matchas to find your favourite, get @theroasterspack matcha advent calendar and get 15% off with my code THERESEABEAN 🍵

The only advent calendar I actually care about this year. 🍵 The @theroasterspack 2026 Matcha Advent Calendar gives you 12 ceremonial matchas from 12 brands (up to 5 servings per tin), a guided tasting journal with brew specs, daily companion videos, and a $10 CAD gift card for your favorite tin. It’s the perfect holiday gift, or the best way to explore different matchas without spending a ton buying full-size tins from each brand. Today I made an iced latte using Day 6: Daigyo (Shizuku)! The powder itself is super vibrant; it leans slightly more on the bitter side for me, but my agave made it balanced. Overall bold, creamy, and would try again! They sold out in 11 days last year, so definitely don’t wait on this! Use code “DOM” for 15% off via the link in my bio! #matchaadvent #adventcalender #theroasterspack #matchagiftguide #matchalatte

As we move into a season I’ll be starting a 12-day matcha series The 2026 Matcha Advent Calendar by @theroasterspack brings together 12 tea brands, each with its own approach to Japanese matcha. Featuring Hokusan, Nami Matcha, Morihan, IKKYU, EMERI, Daigyo, Hawa Matcha, Green Tea Tsuchiyama, Tea Master Tetsuya Homme, ICHA Tea, MATCHA MATCHA, and O5 Rare Tea Bar, the collection highlights a beautiful range of regions, cultivars, and tasting notes. Two selections, Hokusan’s Koku and EMERI’s Hayashi, are exclusive to the calendar. What I appreciate most is the care behind a collection like this. Every tea reflects the work, knowledge, and craft that go into bringing matcha from the growers to our bowls. It’s a lovely reminder that there’s so much to appreciate beyond the cup itself. I hope this series can be a small invitation to slow down with me this season, one bowl at a time Code:BESTIE for discount 💕. #fyp #theroasterspack #matchaadventcalendar #matcha #cultivars
