Had an absolute blast on a rainy sunday morning in @theroasterspacklab 💙

We tried the Barista’s Selection flight where the lovely staff picked 3 drinks we enjoyed based on our preferences.

Add this to your Toronto bucket list!

if you're someone who loves exploring specialty coffee, i think you'd really enjoy this! ☕

definitely more of a treat than an everyday coffee stop, but such a fun experience ☺️

it's reservation-only and i ordered the matcha flight (served sencha style so don't expect lattes) and the barista selection! if flights aren't for you, you can also order individual drinks!

First try at roasting coffee ☝️

I’ve always been a big coffee guy and I’m excited to give roasting a try. I used a sample of washed Indian green coffee that a Toronto roaster gave me - s/o @coffeewallas @theroasterspacklab . I did this while waiting for my roasting machine in the mail so I’m calling this batch No. 000.

It turned out scorched on the flat side and light-medium on the curved side of the beans - inconsistent throughout. But the reviews are in after brewing a few cups for friends and family, and it’s “actually not that bad.” I tasted notes of burnt leather, unrealized potential and better things to come.
