We heard your questions about our upcoming writing circle, and here's what you should know!
.
This writing circle leads up to an exhibition called "In Other Words", where 31 letters will be selected as prompts for artists to respond with their artwork. The 31 best-suited artworks will be selected to be exhibited alongside the 31 letters.
.
This event is in conjunction with GMBB's @rentakmalaysiaku_gmbb 🤍 so expect a busy crowd! We recommend taking public transport (mask up!) or carpooling to GMBB.
.
Letters not selected for the exhibition will still be featured, but in a different medium - a book! Info is in the second slide above.
.
We recommend:
Bringing a camping chair (no tables at the venue, picnic-style)
Being friendly 🤍
.
See you on the 12th, from 2pm to 5pm in The Greybox, @gmbb.kl !
.

We felt the buzz of excitement from yesterday's post so we are proud to announce In Other Words: Writing Circle in conjunction with GMBB's Rentak Malaysiaku 📝🤍 From 2PM - 5PM in The Greybox @gmbb.kl this Saturday, you may:
-
1. Write your letter on the spot
2. Submit it directly to the organizer
3. Get a chance to be featured in our exhibition in November
4. And of course, we will answer all your questions in person!
-
Note: International participants are welcome but the exhibition will feature writers based in Malaysia only as exhibition spots are limited 🤍
-
In Other Words is an exhibition celebrating human-written letters and human-drawn artwork, where 31 letters will be selected and used as "prompts" for artists to make art with throughout the month of October (think Inktober, but with real human letters!). From this, 31 artworks will be selected to be featured in the exhibition. All 62 (31 letters + 31 artwork) works will be made into zines available for purchase.
