More than a song, “Optimistic” became an anthem of hope, perseverance and possibility. 🤎

With an election approaching and so much happening in the world, the message feels especially relevant today. Sounds of Blackness brought that spirit to the Soul Train Awards stage with a performance that continues to inspire generations.

As we count down to the 2026 Soul Train Awards, we’re revisiting the iconic moments that remind us of the power of Black music to uplift, unite and inspire. 🙌🏾

Don’t miss the Soul Train Awards, Friday, November 27 at 8 PM ET/PT on BET and CBS!
