this time last week! if I wasn’t on the stage, I would have been in the audience. chats like these get me especially fired up as a young creative. panelists @jonahfeingold, @honeydipmagicstick, @danilorparra, and @leaflieber offered extremely authentic insight into their respective forays into Hollywood. I wanted this panel to be real. the entertainment industry isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. in fact, the forecast 90 percent of the time is thunderstorms. I needed that reality to be communicated without veering the conversation into a feeling of hopelessness. with that goal in mind, I opted to flow with the structure that everyone knows as the sh!t sandwich: we celebrated each others’ career successes, shined light on the industry’s cutthroat realities / feelings of creatively fulfilling work vs. “director for hire,” and wrapped with praising the reality of just *doing* rather than thinking. no one learned how to swim by reading about water! at this stage of my career, with all I know now about this industry and life in general, I thank God that I was all-in from a young age. blind optimism infused into an impressionable youth’s mind is enough fuel to reach the stars. to feel that energy across this room on 3/5 was special. it reminded me why I got into this in the first place. this biz is many things, and it will be cruel to you if you let it. but if you relinquish paranoia about the uncontrollable, seize ownership over the few things you have total autonomy over, and find *one* reason to be proud of yourself when your head hits the pillow at night, you’ll find that there is no industry more fulfilling. whoops. this turned into a hopecore post. anyways, that’s the reality that this panel communicated. I hope it’s the first of many.

Despite the torrential downpours, ThespyHouse, Eternal Play Productions and Cinenapse put on an inspiring panel called No Permission Needed. My biggest takeaway— don’t let rejections make you stop creating. As artists, it’s the nature of the business. Our work is not meant for everyone and it doesn’t need to be. Make what you love, put it out there, believe in it, and the right people will find you. Don’t give up. Also, shoutout to Devin for inviting me and got to reconnect with Kaitlyn, who I haven’t seen since the set of Devil’s Threesome in 2024.

My production company @eternalplayproductions co-hosted a panel with @thespyhouse and we had the best time 🌟 No Permission Needed: Bringing play back into filmmaking was a panel hosted by filmmakers for filmmakers 🎬 Moderated by @liamtcrowley, we heard from @leaflieber, @jonahfeingold, @honeydipmagicstick and @danilorparra about protecting creative freedom and integrity while navigating how to get your film made. Special thanks to our sponsor, @cinapse_io for making the evening possible. A modern collaborative scheduling platform designed for filmmakers by filmmakers, @cinapse_io is used by studios on your favorite shows (like @theboystv and @euphoria) and independent filmmakers alike. Thank you to @seven24collective for hosting us 💫

No Permission Needed: Bringing Play Back Into Filmmaking 🎬 Some of the best filmmaking happens when you stop asking for permission. At Seven24 Collective, we gathered filmmakers and storytellers for a conversation about rediscovering play in the creative process and why experimentation, curiosity, and going against the grain are often where the most exciting work begins. Featuring an incredible panel with Jonah Feingold, Eleanore Pienta, Danilo Parra, and Leaf Lieber, hosted by on air personality Liam Crowley, the night was a reminder that great art rarely comes from playing it safe. A special thank you to Cinapse for sponsoring the evening. Cinapse builds modern production scheduling software designed specifically for the film and television industry. Created by assistant directors, producers, and technologists, the platform helps production teams collaborate more efficiently, stay aligned, and keep projects on time and on budget. And thank you to Seven24 Collective for opening their doors to us and for their continued support of the creative community. Spaces like this make it possible for artists and storytellers to gather, exchange ideas, and keep pushing the craft forward. To everyone who joined us and added to the energy in the room, thank you. More conversations, collaborations, and creative sparks to come. ThespyHouse × Eternal Play Productions 🎬

It’s so vulnerable putting yourself out there and trying something new with people you don’t know-but there’s something about getting curious and digging deep to express something authentically... Telling a good story while bringing your essence to a character and doing so in a safe, open space where everyone is there to learn? Magical!! Thank you for creating a space to do so @thespyhouse @brooklynactorsselftape 🖤 I’m excited to do more of this work. #tryingnewthings #aspiringactor #selfdevelopment
