FARMERS MARKER SOCIAL | #cookclubla

I went to the Farmer’s Market Social and somehow came home with a new sourdough business idea. 😭

So here’s the situation: I made a mini Thai Tea infused sourdough croissant loafs because apparently regular sourdough wasn’t enough for me. 😂

And then I got home, looked at my leftover Thai tea, and thought… wait a damn minute. 👀

🍞 TOAST & TEA 🍵

Am I onto something or have I officially lost the plot?

But let me know if you’re interested. Just comment “Knead the Tea” and I’ll start making a PR package list. 😂🍞🧋

PS This is the day my friendship blossomed with @theverybestcookie @muttsforeverybody 🥹

SANDWICH SWAP | @cookclub.la

🍅🥪 The Tomato Soup Sando made its debut at Cook Club LA!

This one came with all the fixings, including a pickling station where everyone could customize their own jar with their favorite briny toppings. Because sandwich needs a little pickle. 🥒✨ lmao

And dessert? A dream collaboration. 🍦🍪 @muttsforeverybody teamed up with @theverybestcookie to create the ultimate ice cream sandwiches, bringing together two of our favorite things in one very dangerous little treat.

Good sandwiches, good people, good pickles, and VERY good dessert. What more could you ask for? 🥪💛

Omg and the photography is all thanks to @mattbeardphoto always capturing the magic of Cook Club 🤩✨🤌✨

Some dinners fill your plate.

This one filled the table with stories. 🌍❤️

For one evening, our backyard became home to at least 11 cultures and culinary traditions—Cuban, Mexican, African, Jewish, Filipino, Indian, Indonesian, English, Hawaiian, Jordanian, and Japanese.

Every guest arrived carrying more than a homemade dish. They brought family traditions, childhood memories, recipes passed down through generations, and pieces of home that they were willing to share with strangers who quickly became friends.

Because food has a remarkable way of doing that.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who cooked, shared, listened, asked questions, and made this one of our most meaningful gatherings yet.

We’re also incredibly grateful to @homesomm for guiding us through wines from around the world, and to our generous partners @indigobyboutin, @flybyjing, @mina , @trulygrassfed , @unreal.snacks , @absolutelynuts, @mrchompy, and @pirooliveoil for helping make the evening so special.

This is what Cook Club LA is all about:
✨ Bringing people together through homemade food.
✨ Celebrating the stories behind every recipe.
✨ Creating a community where everyone has a seat at the table.

Here’s to many more shared tables. 🤍

A potluck for people who take sandwiches seriously. 🥪

For this month’s Sandwich Swap, each guest brought a homemade sandwich to taste and share with the group. The result? An afternoon filled with family recipes, creative interpretations, cultural traditions, and an unresolved debate about what actually counts as a sandwich.

Guests made custom pickles at our DIY pickling station, entered our raffle, and enjoyed a one-of-a-kind ice cream sandwich collaboration from @MUTTSforeveryone and @theverybestcookie —a partnership that began when Ris and Kirstyn met at last month’s Farmers’ Market Social.

Moments like that are exactly why Cook Club LA exists.

When we started this community, we kept hearing the same thing: “I’ve been looking for something like this.” This month, we welcomed chefs, bakers, ice cream makers, passionate home cooks, and newcomers to LA, including @secretsaucekitchen and her wife, who recently relocated from New Zealand and joined us in search of new community. Again and again, people told us how happy they were to have found their people.

Food is just the vehicle. What people are really hungry for is community. 💛

A huge thank you to our partners for helping bring the day to life:
🥜 @mrchompybutters for the nut butters
🍞 @maliebakesbread for the sourdough loaves
🍪🍨 @theverybestcookie + @muttsforeverybody for the Milk & Cookies ice cream sandwich collaboration
🥔 @eatfilthychips for the chips
🥂 @tomorrowcellars for the non-alcoholic wine
🥬 @thiskimchislaps for the kimchi
🌶️ @maazahmagic for the chutneys and condiments
🇩🇰 @little.zing for the Danish mustard
🥤 @bloomsupps for the beverages
🥒 @gosidies for the pickled and fermented vegetables

A few moments from our Farmers Market Social 🌿🧺

Last month, 26 home cooks gathered around the table to swap homemade goods, discover new favorite brands, learn a few new skills, and connect with fellow food lovers.

The afternoon featured a homemade goods exchange, matcha and tea lattes, seasonal light bites, a community raffle valued at over $200, and countless conversations about cooking, hosting, and the things we’re making in our kitchens.

A special congratulations to @miss.alissaaaa , our raffle winner and a familiar face around the Cook Club LA table. While the drawing was completely random, it felt fitting that the prize went to someone who has attended every Cook Club gathering so far. ❤️

Most of all, thank you to everyone who cooked, shared, and showed up. The homemade goods were extraordinary, but the people are what make this community special.

A huge thank you to the partners who helped bring the day to life: @indigobyboutin, @chefcassidyk, @sunfruit.florals, @chez_monsieurrr, @_fionazhang, @tomorrowcellars, @tezzafoods, @porsuertecookies, @jooliesdates, @karmanuts, @mrchompybutters, @oliopiro.

And @mattbeardphoto for capturing it so beautifully. 📷

Our next gathering is the Sandwich Swap on June 14. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to make your favorite sandwich and share it with fellow food lovers, we’d love to have you at the table. 🥪

COOK CLUB LA | #citrusseason

What stood out most wasn’t just the food, but the environment Nicole curated.

A completely judgment-free space where everyone could #cook, experiment, and share without pressure.

That’s the kind of energy more food spaces should have.

P.S. Not them rebranding blood oranges because the word “blood” was too much for consumers 💀

BLOOD ORANGE SHRIMP CEVICHE
2 cups Cucumber (Finely diced and coop out the core)
1 cup Red Onion (finely diced)
1/2 cup Cilantro (Chopped)
6 Blood Oranges (Juiced and strained of pulp)
4 Lemons (Juiced and strained of their pulp)
Season with freshly cracked pepper and sea salt.
24 Frozen Colossal Shrimp (Devein and Peel then chop into 6 parts)

22 cooks.
One seasonal ingredient.
Endless creativity. 🍊

Our second Cook Club LA gathering was all about citrus season and what happens when a room full of curious cooks start from the same place.

The table filled with everything from blood orange ceviche and lemon pasta to grapefruit salads, lemon cakes and cookies. Every dish completely different, but all inspired by the same bright ingredient.

What makes these nights special isn’t just the food — it’s the generosity. People sharing techniques, stories, recipes, and a genuine love of cooking with one another.

Cook Club LA is about building skills, community, and gathering around the table with people who care about the craft of cooking.

Huge thank you to our partners who helped make this evening extra special:

@himaisonmaxine
@drinkgoldilocks

If you love to cook and want to join a future gathering, the interest form is in our bio.

Cook Club LA 01: Winter Vegetables

What happens when a group of people who love to cook all bring a homemade dish to the same table?

Cook Club LA.

No catering, no shortcuts — just craft, curiosity, and a lot of vegetables.

The menu included bejeweled black rice with butternut squash & pomegranate, roasted spiced carrots over lemony feta dip, Moroccan cauliflower couscous salad, carrot cake cookies, and many other beautiful contributions.

The idea behind Cook Club LA is simple: bring passionate home cooks together to cook more, explore new ingredients and cultures, and connect through food.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made the first one so special.

If this sounds like your kind of table, our next gathering is March 14 — come cook with us.

Amazing run @nyknicks. Sports are the best. Shoutout to all the real ones, as well as all you bandwagon hoppers too. Loved seeing NYC explode in 🔶🔷🔶🔷🔶🔷. Keep that same energy next year, our time is coming…

Wore the same shirt to most of the games. It was working… until it wasn’t.

popup no. 004: i think i want to give her another chance (make pizza again), it will be different this time (there’s a new menu)

These nights have become the highlight of my month. I am so grateful for every soul that walks into my apartment to indulge me in this little experiment. Stay in touch. I hope to see everyone again very soon. I love making pizza but the best thing that has come out of these popups has been the community :)

Special shoutout to my temp staff @thatswatshisaid & @matthewlee9001 and @ohmylydia who took all these amazing photos!!!!
