Had the privilege of speaking to some really cool kids at @wellspring_college 🤍

I was invited to speak on Adulting in Nigeria at the Aspire Bootcamp for their SS2 students as they prepare to transition into their final year. The theme of the event was “Curating Your Narrative.”

I shared the stage with @ayoskilolo_, and we had some really honest conversations around navigating life, making intentional choices, building your identity, and preparing for the world beyond secondary school.

What made this experience even more special for me was that it was my first speaking event. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect going in, but being able to share some of the lessons I’ve picked up along the way, answer their questions and hopefully leave them with a few things to think about made the experience really special for me.

Definitely a first I’ll remember🥹

A huge thank you to @wellspring_college for the warm welcome and hospitality, and to @thestevenloya for trusting me enough to bring me onboard.

PS: Consider this your cue to invite me to your next panel, school event or speaking engagement🤭🎤

Last Friday, we had the incredible privilege of bringing the world of STEAM directly to the brilliant minds at @talentmineacademy

Through our partnership, we introduced the students to the cutting-edge world of 3D design and printing. What blew us away was how naturally it came to them. After introducing them to the 3D design software, the students got the hang of it incredibly fast!

Using the 3D printer recently donated to the school, they jumped right into a fully hands-on session, learning to bring their own ideas to life and experiencing the complete journey from digital concept to physical creation.

For children in underserved communities, exposure to emerging technologies like 3D design software and advanced manufacturing does so much more than just teach a technical skill. It completely expands what they believe is possible for their own futures.

We are incredibly proud to partner with Talent Mine Academy to bridge the digital divide. Huge thanks to our leader @rotibalogun (who also serves as a founding board member of the academy) and our facilitator @thestevenloya for bringing this session to life!

We aren’t just preparing these students to participate in tomorrow’s economy, we are equipping them to build it.

Last Friday, our students at Talent Mine Academy had their first real introduction to 3D design and printing — made possible through a partnership with The STEAM Innovation Foundation @tsifoundation_ led by @rotibalogun (who is also a founding board member of Talent Mine Academy) and facilitated by @thestevenloya

Using a 3D printer recently donated to our school, students moved through a full hands-on session: designing a phone holder from scratch and then printing a boat — experiencing the complete journey from concept to creation.

For children from low-income communities who often have little to no exposure to emerging technology, sessions like this do more than teach a skill. They expand what a child believes is possible for their own future.

This is the model we believe in at Talent Mine Academy — pairing free, high-quality academic education with hands-on, future-ready skills, so our students are prepared not just to participate in tomorrow’s economy, but to help build it.

We’re grateful to The STEAM Innovation Foundation for investing in our students’ potential, and to every partner and sponsor who makes opportunities like this possible.

If your organization is exploring ways to expose underserved students to STEM, design, or innovation, we’d love to talk.

Mrs. Ajoke Silva left me with these questions, “When I create, what behaviors do I want to encourage?
What future am I designing with my next post? She also said “Strive to become a person of Value.” @ajokesilva

I wish you were there to have experienced the Platinum Smartans presentation. 🔥 They were on fire. Anywhere you see them , write them a cheque of 1 million dollars each. These ones are extremely smart and intelligent.

Mr. Micheal Ogochukwu said this “Do not fight the system. Find your way into it and make a good change in it.” ❤️ Now that is a word for the wise. 🧏‍♀️

SmartanDad Johnson Abbaly words “There is nothing wrong with a young person, we just don’t have the right environment, conditions, platforms because Talent is universal but opportunities are not.”
“It is not enough to go to school, you should be able to build the set of skills that allows you to walk into any room and command it!” 🔥
When I said he spoke fire into our bones, My bones I wasn’t joking.

This is a game changing generation — Gen Z. 🔥

What’s a break without a break? 😅

For many educators, school closing doesn’t really mean rest.

They’re still thinking… planning… designing programs, activities, and better ways to support their students.

Not because they’re robots (even robots crash 😏), but because they understand something deeper—

They’re not just teachers.

They’re:
A listening ear 👂
A thinking partner 💭
A mentor when it matters most 🤝

From answering random questions on the go to helping shape student events and ideas, some educators go far beyond the classroom.

So even if it’s not Teachers’ Day, take a moment to appreciate that one teacher who showed up for you when they didn’t have to ❤️

And to every educator—this is your reminder:

Rest. Recharge. Have fun.
You only live once 😂

See you soon ✨

PS: An educator committed to the life his students 🥰🥰
